I recently placed a carry out order at a restaurant and unfortunately had an incredibly negative experience at the billing counter. The person working at the counter was unbelievably rude and unprofessional, which really put a damper on the entire ordering process.
From the moment I approached the counter, the person working there seemed annoyed that I was there. I tried to ask a few questions about the order.l but was met with curt responses and eye rolls. When I finally carried my order, the person didn't even bother to look up from their computer screen or acknowledge me in any way.While leaving she started to give me stares.
The worst part came when it was time to pay the person at the billing counter rudely told me "I don't have all the time in the world" when I asked a question about the bill. I was shocked by their tone and attitude, and it was clear that they had no interest in providing even basic customer service.
Overall, my experience with the carry out order at this restaurant was completely ruined by the behavior of the person working at the billing counter. It's a shame because the food was actually quite good, but I won't be placing a carry out order there anytime soon because of how poorly I was treated. That's totally unacceptable, I've managed restaurants and been in the service industry for 12 years and I would never allow my cook to send burnt food out looking like that and shame on the person who packed it because they saw it and didn't fix it. Carelessness. They don't care about their customers or the quality of their food. I assumed that the sweet and sour snapper that cost $18 was a whole snapper like EVERY Thai restaurant I have been to. Come to find out I just paid $18 for exactly SEVEN tiny little pieces of snapper. Me and my boyfriend split that and so ALL I HAD WAS 3 tiny pieces of fried snapper. Even if I had all 7 pieces I would not be full. If I would've known this I would've just ordered from another thai restaurant. Also their yellow curry was supposed to have potatoes, I didn't get any. There are so many other thai restaurants in jax that taste better and have better quality food. Sala thai and lemongrass are my favorite....

I typically ask for the order by the customer name because often times multiple customers order the same thing. I didn’t pay direct attention to what she ordered. When the order came out of the kitchen after a wait, a woman who works here named what was in the order. I said, “I’m sorry, is this Jane’s order?”
She got immediately offended and said “Sorry, I was just speaking my language,” as if I was being ignorant. I responded, “I’m sorry I don’t speak your language, is this Jane’s order?” She very rudely handed me the bag and I overheard her mocking me as I was walking out the door for not understanding her call out the order by item. I don’t really understand why you would do this to someone who is providing you a service that drives up your revenue at no cost to you.
