This Was The First Time,That My Husband And I Have Eaten Here, And We've Lived Outside If Jacksonville Over A Year And A Half. I Really Wasn't Wanting Fish, But Was So Surprised To See A Bunch Of Different Choices On The Menu, Everything We Ordered Was So Yummy! My Husband Ordered A Seafood Combination, And I Ordered A Chicken Fried Chicken, And Let Me Tell You,It Literally Took Up The Entire Plate! I Had To Cut It In Half And Bring It home, I Couldn't Hardly Eat It, It's Huge! I Can Just Imagine The Chicken Fried Steak! The Batter Is To Die For Too!! The Service Is Amazing, And They Even Sell Donuts, Only Until Noon, Also Iced Coffee! Worst seafood I have EVER had. It was just before noon on a Saturday (today). I ordered a stuffed crab, with 3 shrimp, 3 oysters and a loaded baked potato. The stuffed crab tasted more like sauerkraut stuffed crab shell. Everything was over-battered, overcooked, and over fried. The baked potato was as they all should be, (sans the tiny plastic receptacles of fake cheese and bacon bits.) I called the server over , complaining about the quality of the food, and asked him to take it away, asked him to bring me a check, and I was perfectly willing to pay for the potato. He said “I don’t think we can do that”. I asked him politely “find out” and bring me the bill. He returned the “receipt book” charging me full price. I was from out of town, and did not know where to eat. Was hungry, and stopped knowing nothing about it. Reviews are SUPER , as I learned later. Maybe they had an “off” day, but customer satisfaction definitely factors into this review… and I don’t review ANY business unless they were extraordinarily GOOD or extraordinarily BAD. TERRIBLE BUSINESS OWNER I was very unhappy with this place. I ordered the stuffed salmon and the entire bottom was burnt. I tried to eat it but the taste was horrible and it was incredibly dry. I told the waitress I wasn’t going to eat it and to just take it off my tab. The owner said that they would not take it off the tab I had to pay for half of it and they sent it back to my table. I said I was not going to eat it and to take it away and I overheard the owner say to the waitress she would call the cops if I didn’t pay. The waitress came to me again with the plate of food and said she wasn’t trying to cause trouble but the owner would not take it. I said I would pay for half of the dish like the owner was requiring but I would be giving a bad review. Never did the owner come out to talk to us or even offer to re-make the salmon.
