Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Jacksonville

We came in to get smoothies for us my niece and nephew that are down from North Carolina we just got finished with a half our nature walk and figured we go have something healthy at the tropical smoothie café they have never been there so I want to take them there for their first experience. My 12 year nephew has ADHD and he can't stay still and if he sees something sometimes certain things bother him anyway we saw these three smoothies being made and one of them might've been his but he didn't want any banana and the girl got offended started saying nasty stuff to us under her breath this is not even your order and getting all rude and nasty with us. I said he's my 12 year old nephew, he doesn't know. She was slamming blenders around being so ugly, mind you we NEVER said anything to this girl with the name of Alvin on the side of her neck. I had finally enough because she's acting this way in front of children!!!! I went to get the manager. The manager went over but didn't even say anything to his employee that was being rude and saying stuff to children. We will...

Went to get some lunch thru drive-thru yesterday and it wasn't busy. When it was our time to order, the young lady was very rude and kept saying ok after eveything my husband said and kept interrupting him asking if that was it and he told her no he had more to order. We get to the window and everything is fine. she ask us to park up front and someone will give us our food. i happened to look at the receipt and the order was wrong. so my husband went in and told them about it and he was very polite. my husband kept thanking them and everything and they didnt acknowledge him whatsoever. they just handed him our food and didnt say one thing.....its like they had an attitude because they got the order wrong and we wanted it corrected. On top of that we get home and in the buffalo chicken bowl there was only 3 pieces of chicken in there! customer service really needs to be worked on at this location. i use to come here all the time but i will find another...

I have been visiting Tropical Smoothie for years and for the most part have been ordering the same few drinks.

The smoothie I had from here was sub par for Tropical Smoothie and sub par for a smoothie in general. It's taste was wrong, it had ice chunks and fruit chunks, I could barely drink it without something getting stuck in the straw.

I have not been during peak hours but I have seen the lines so I could understand everyone else's long wait frustration. Their hours are not that great considering their location and major demographic. They are located next to a military base and they don't open until 7. Half the base is at work by this point.

Overall this place has a great location and alot of potential that it currently doesn't seem to be living up to. Maybe the locations infancy is part of the problem or maybe the management. I will see how they change after getting through the growing pains of opening a new store and update my review...
