I have been a loyal customer of Brass Tacks Coffee Co, a hidden gem nestled on South Side Blvd, for quite some time now. This cozy coffee spot may go unnoticed amidst the daily hustle and bustle, but it's a caffeine oasis well worth seeking out. Pro tip: aim for Arby's, then take a sharp turn to discover their convenient parking lot tucked just around the corner.
My go-to drink at Brass Tacks is the lavender vanilla Chai latte with oat milk and a shot of espresso, but let me spill the beans - their Vietnamese coffee is the real deal! This potent potion packs a punch that'll have you buzzing like a bee in no time. And if I could make a wish upon my next refill, I'd ask for a larger cup because it's simply too good to sip slowly.
While my gluten-free diet prevents me from indulging in their enticing array of eats, my comrades can't stop raving about Brass Tacks' delectable offerings. From homemade biscuits that make even my gourmet hubby weak in the knees to piping hot pretzels and gourmet sandwiches, this place caters to all cravings on the fly.
The menu at Brass Tacks is a treasure trove of delights, boasting specialty drinks like the Viennese coffee that'll knock your socks off. While I usually err on the side of sweetness in my cuppa, I dare you to venture into the bold world of strong coffee with just a smidge of sugar â you won't be disappointed, pinky promise!
The stellar service at Brass Tacks elevates the whole experience, turning each visit into a joyous java jaunt. Whether you're after your regular fix or eager to embark on a caffeinated adventure, this spot fulfills all cravings with a smile and a skip.
Brass Tacks Coffee Co is my not-so-secret refuge when I need a jolt of java joy, and I can't espresso how much I adore it. Do yourself a favor and carve out some coffee time at this brew-tiful haven - it's a brew-tiful...
Read moreThe poor rating I'm leaving for this review is a direct result of false advertising.
There is a sign in front of the register that says,
"Leave us a review and your next drink is on us (Yelp, Google, Facebook, etc)"
I saw this the last time I came in, so I left a sincere, positive review on Facebook. Today, I ordered an iced latte and a biscuit sandwich.
Barista: "That will be $8.50." Me: "Oh! I left a review on Facebook to get the free drink." (shows phone with FB review) Barista: "I thought that was only 50 cents and on Yelp." Me: "The sign right in front of the register says a free drink for a review on Yelp, Google, Facebook, etc." Barista: "Ok. That will be $8."
I didn't bother arguing with the barista over the false advertising issue because I was more interested in spending time with the friend who I invited out for good coffee. Look, I get that this is a new business, but 50 cents off is not the same as "Your next drink is on us." I love the Spring Park Coffee location in Green Cove, and I often go out of my way to go there. That is why I was REALLY excited about how much closer this location was.
However, you are lying to your customers. If you don't want to make good on the offer of a free drink for a review, then you should update your sign to say "If you leave us a review, we'll give you 50 cents off your next drink."
The management at Spring Park Coffee is amazing, but judging from this experience, Brass Tacks Coffee is under a different management group--one that falsely advertises its offers.
One more thing, why don't you actually display the prices for ANY of the items...
Read moreI went to Brass Tacks today 2/17/23. My wife was supposed to place an order before I got there, but it was closer to my arrival time than expected. I pulled thru the drive thru and told them that I have a mobile order and she advised that I just placed it and may have to wait which I was fine with.. I get to the window and promptly recieved my food and then a few minutes later my coffee. The barista/worker. Then chooses to tell me next time to wait the alloted 20 minutes before coming(so they can have everything ready for me) after I already said I was fine with waiting at the speaker. I apologize. Slightly agitated but I'm understanding.
So my order was vietnamese coffee avocado smash Bacon egg and cheese Sammie BT SHAKE
BT SHAKE unavailable due to no ice cream subbed for something that was not comparable
Bacon egg and cheese sandwich was two eggs fried easy cheese and biscuit NO BACON.. It was great but no bacon lol
Avocado smash on online ordering says nothing about spice but it has red pepper flakes and my wife is super sensitive to spice Vietnamese coffee was the only this that was right..
If you're going to be nice nasty at the window at least make sure the order is right. It makes me wonder if they screwed the order to spurn me for coming too early.
I'm sure when they're on point they're amazing. You just kinda missed the mark today. I was fine with waiting as I said at the speaker i didn't need a reminder to wait and add that the avocado smash is...
