Updating my five star review to a one-star. And would do negative Stars if I could. I was in the Drive-Thru at 10:18 this morning, had placed a breakfast order on the app, then one of the employees comes outside and starts turning the menu boards to lunch 12 minutes early. I told her I place an order on the app and so she says just pull around to the window which of course there's a line so it takes me 10 more minutes to get to that window. In the meantime the app has automatically canceled my order. So I get to the window and now they tell me they can't see my order and take no accountability for the fact that they stop serving breakfast 12 mins early, had me sit and wait in the drive thru, then to top it all off, the manager by the name of Tika, slings attitude and tells me I can call corporate. This store makes McDonald's look like Chick-fil-A compared to this Wendy's. I do not understand how a franchise owner can employ people like this. Don't you want a return on your investment? Don't you want to make money? Because your horrible employees are just running it off. If I acted this way to a customer where I work, I would lose my job on the spot. I ordered thru the mobile app for simplicity - 2 LG Sprite zeros with pineapple and a Jr vanilla frosty. I pull up to the window and the person sticks her head out the window and says "we're out of Sprite" and goes back to doing something else. I clarify that she meant Sprite zero and she gives me a Yep. Then asks if I want something different. I explained I came specifically for this drink and I just want to cancel the order. She balls up my receipt, says "Okay, have a good day" and closes the window. Meanwhile, I've got a notification that my card has already been charged. I wave her back. "Do you need something else?" I point out that I paid and did not get anything in return. She asks me, " DO YOU WANT THE CUPS?" ?!?! WHAT?! When I asked for a refund she suggested I call my bank. Pro tip - be prepared to jump thru hoops if you need your money back from app orders. I'm grateful that the manager I asked for thought to check if the dispenser in the dining room had the product. A little thinking outside the box and commitment to the customer experience...
Read moreAt 11:15 this evening..my family and I stopped at Wendy's on Max Leggett Parkway. I wanted a root beer float but the staff member at the drive thru window apologized for not having that item available anymore. Disappointed I ordered a Frosty along with my children. When the staff member taking my debit card asked how we were...I jokingly replied that my night would have been better if I could have got a root beer float..we laughed and pulled up to wait on our order. When the staff member came out with our order..I was shocked to see a Root beer Float in his hand. The staff could have easily sent us on our way with our Frostys but went above and beyond to ensure that we were completely satisfied with their service. Their service needs to be recognized and commended. This kind of service sets the par for all of the other choices of restaurants in the River City area. All other fast food choices have much improvement to do to compete with the professionalism that I witnessed tonight. You've won my loyalty which is hard to do...but will be explained further in my comments in the dietary restriction...
