I am livid at the response management had towards a terrible waxing experience! I DID NOT RECEIVE THE SERVICES I PAID FOR and their response was they could do a touch up within 3 days. Well, I let them know I was at a resort and wouldn't be back for 5 days. I told the receptionist/assistant manager, I could send pictures of the horrible leg and bikini wax to prove the job was botched and a "touch up" would not fix the problem. She declined. There were patchy and broken off hairs EVERYWHERE (no exaggeration) and a touch up would be impossible. I was forced to spend my entire vacation hairy. I could not shave due to sensitivity. She declined and promised a manager would call me before the night ended. It NEVER happened. I called again just to make sure they didn't forget. Needless to say the manager still never called. About 4 days later the receptionist called and asked if I could come by when I returned so the manager could take a look. Well, I did and Kat agreed the bikini area was a HORRIBLE job. Pubic hairs were everywhere! It was embarrassing. She asked did I shave my legs because of the stuble and I told her no. The stuble and long hairs came from the poor wax job. The hairs were broken off and never pulled from my legs! She offered to wax the bikini area again right then and there but instead I wanted a partial or full refund. It was 7:15 pm and I had just gotten off of work. She offered nothing for my legs. In fact, she only spent 10 seconds looking at them. Now my legs have a tremendous amount of ingrowns and I've had to buy products to reverse the damage cause by the unprofessional waxing job. I've never had such a horrendous waxing in my life!! I paid $100 for the bikini south and even tipped $15 because the young lady was so nice but I feel ripped off!!!!!! They literally STOLE my money and refused any monetary compensation for the poor job. I was only offered a 30% discount off my NEXT bikini wax service. WHY WOULD I TRUST THIS COMPANY TO WAX ME AGAIN?! I corresponded several times after that to try and come to a mutual resolution but they did not care. It took 2 weeks for them to come to their final decision and that's unacceptable! The fact that they could care less that their employee did not provide the service that was paid for blows my mind!    Read moreI'd like to start by saying if I could give a 0 star I would. This review is mostly about the most recent technician I saw and unfortunately cannot remember her name. This business as a whole has been great, the front desk people are always so nice, as well as every other wax tech I have seen prior to yesterday. I have been getting waxed at this location once a month since March of this year and up until yesterdays appointment everything was great. The wax technician walked in to my room and immediately asked me if I was pregnant. I am a bit overweight, have had 3 kids, (the most recent was a year ago) but just because someone is chubby doesn't mean they're pregnant. I found it extremely inappropriate, and it made me feel horrible about myself when I'm already self conscious about my body. I sat there and cried the whole time I was being waxed. I would have rescheduled with someone else but I was going on vacation the next day and didn't have time so unfortunately I had to endure the embarrassment and hurt while hair was being ripped out of my private area. After she finished the top part, she asked me to take my knees to chest (as I do every time- no big deal) but I guess I wasn't moving fast enough because she grabbed my knees and shoved them to my chest and I immediately braced myself and pushed back because I have a disability with my left hip and what she did was extremely painful. I donât like to write negative reviews to any business unless itâs really necessary to warn people and make business management aware of poor customer service. Itâs 7pm on a Friday, 10 minutes before my appointment. I just received a call from the Brazilâs waxing center at River City telling me that the professional whom was going to do my service was not feeling well. Thus, they said they were calling giving me the option to still go and have the professional âtry to do the serviceâ but they couldnât guarantee as she was very sick since LuNCH TIME. In times like these, with Covid and a world wide virus pandemic, a business that preaches to be professional and cautious about the wealth being of its employees and customers, should not be calling a customer to offer services from an employee whom is feeling sick. I said I did not feel comfortable and also didnât want to force the employee to work sick. Thatâs probably what they wanted to hear as this was a very unprofessional approach for a 10minutes apt cancelation notice. I asked to be booked for a next day appointment as I really needed the service done this weekend. I was offer no option to even âtryâ to make arrangements for an apt. Iâm beyond frustrated with the business. I have attended more than 3 apts were they were always late and I never complained.
