Couldn't eat what I ordered, but it's open, so I guess that's still considered a win. Ordered spaghetti with meatballs, pancakes, and a turkey sandwich.
I am a fan of udon noodles typically served in a delicious broth. However overcooked udon is not great with canned tomato sauce. But even that would have been better. There was enough tomato water in the plate to bathe for a hefty skunk spraying. It is okay to drain the ramen before plating. A voluminous, weakly-seasoned tomato paste outweighed the contentious ramen noodles. The hand-made meatballs, at first glance, looked promising. Someone took care to use a quality leaner meat, but cooked them dry. How? Why? What did these ingredients do to Phil and Stacy? It was with malicious intent that this meal was put on an innocent plate. I almost feel obligated to apologize to my senses for this culinary assault. Should "Army noodles with ketchup" be on the menu, at least you know what you are getting. This was akin to sitting down for lunch and being served a tennis ball.
The Turkey BLT was good. One more slice of turkey and it would be a real winner.
The pancakes were normal. Strange for the waiter to deliver and apply whipped cream after receiving the pancake.
The staff were kind, friendly, and courteous. Surprisingly, the place was quite dirty. Damaged ceilings, lights, and furniture. Rust, tarnish, and general filth abounds here. The silverware and dishes were quite clean, so there seems to be a sort of disconnect with overall...
Read morePhil-n-Cindy's restaurant offers an more traditional ecletic mom and pop dining experience. The staff made sure we were well taken care of from making sure our order was to our liking and our coffee cups were always full. This was thanks to their prompt and attentive service that was not obtrusive as many places now days.
The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were spot on for the price. The owner has done a fantastic job of keeping the tradition of the business alive after acquiring it a few years prior. I love seeing more people around my generation picking up the mantel and really keeping these small business alive. Especially when they even take the time to thank patrons as they are leaving, personally thanking them for their patronage.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and service at an...
Read more2.5 star for me now. Quality and quantity are going down drastically while prices go up. I was unimpressed with the quality, quantity, and price of the chicken finger dinner the last time I was there. It was just a couple frozen Tyson style chicken fingers cooked up with a hand full of fries. That belongs on a kid's menu not for adults. My friend's burger was smaller and so was his fry portion too. Eggs are still on the runny side most of the time because they're rushing on the griddle again. I've had to send raw eggs back to finish cooking. I'm sorry, but in a sunny side up the whites shouldn't be wet still and moving like slime. They're supposed to be solid. There shouldn't be a puddle of orange goo under scrambled eggs this means they aren't cooked enough. Fries, ranch, and subs are...
