1st time here to this newly owned restaurant on a Friday a tad after 5. So it was very crowded! Which is great to see a local restaurant this busy! But you have to find your own table which was challenging. When you found it you had to find someone to clean the table. That was hard to do. No one was to be found for a few minutes to clear and clean the table. You order at the counter and the person taking our order was very nice and helpful but seemed flustered due to the line to the door of people waiting to order. Some body behind us was telling us to move when a handicapped senior citizen had a turn but he was obviously not moving quickly enough for the rude individual behind us. They assign numbers when you order then you go and seat and wait until they bring you the order. Well our food came out fairly quick but our friends order took forever! And despite the fact you have a number on your table the people who bring you out the food seem confused about what table to bring the food and the order is not complete. We asked for help to find out what's taking so long for our friends order. No answer just a will check. A little while later it finally came out. My wife's baked manicotti was cool in the middle and my chicken Parmigian for nearly $16.00 didn't come with salad. They did bring you 4 breadsticks and they were not warm. I ordered a cannoli for desert but they don't bring it out with your order. You have to go to the counter and wait and wait and wait on them to hand it to you. By that time I asked to take it as we were finished with our food. The cannoli was one of the best I've ever eaten! Takeaways- wait until the novelty of this place wears off or go between lunch and dinner and maybe it will be less crowded. The service needs to improve especially the individual at the desert counter who had major attitude especially towards another senior citizen who was soft spoken but waited as long as I but was treated rudely for her desert. I spoke up for her as I felt bad. I too got attitude. Food was good but uneven and not cheap. Hopefully they work the bugs out it has a huge potential but until they doni recommend going up the road to I love NY Pizza or Johnnys in Jasper. I will return for another review in the near future to see if they have addressed there short commings I...
Read moreWe wish you the very best in your new restaurant in Jasper. It's very cozy on the inside, And on a hot day like today it was very welcoming and here comes my opinion on the food. Today I had the Greek salad which was phenomenal delicious. I also ordered the ham stromboli which I got some extra toppings at it like green olives, black olives, supposedly Italian sausage. Well when it came out it looked delicious. Kind of small and the bread was chewy and there was just one piece of sausage that was about an inch and a half thick in the actual Stromboli, I was amazed at how fast it actually came out and my wife ordered a chicken spinach artichoke pizza No artichokes on the pizza ,She took three bites and that was all she could do. She seemed to think that the dough was probably pre-frozen and cooked in a microwave. This is just my opinion now. The meat s really had no flavor. I cannot taste the pepperoni. I could taste the green olives of course and the black olives but even the chicken kind of had an off taste to it. It was a beautiful looking pie. I will admit and I will post pictures of what we ate. I know y'all are just getting your game started and like I said we wish you the best, so this wasn't really mean or hateful post We just did not enjoy our lunch today by going on the recommendations and reviews of the restaurant. Beautiful restaurant like I said. Let me say one more thing, probably where I went wrong was not getting any of the cannolis or desserts. Best of luck. I hope the 5-year...
Read moreMy husband and I went in tonight with our two kids around 6:30/7 and to our surprise, we didn’t have to wait. We were greeted instantly with outgoing faces and respectful attitudes. Our four year old has been waiting for this place to open and was so excited, he ran behind the counter and hugged the owners and employees. Thankfully, they were so kind and understanding. All of the employees were super respectful (from the lady taking the orders, to the gentleman delivering the food, as well as the employee wiping down counters)…and that means alot these days! The food was hot and delicious and came out super fast! We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, cesar salad and two slices of cake at the end to take home. Plenty of leftovers! This place is amazing and so is the food! Don’t let someone’s bad review make you go elsewhere. Go and actually experience it yourself. If you’ve ever worked in hospitality, you know that things happen or sometimes it may take a while, if the place is busy. We had a great first experience overall and it should be known. Thank you!...
