Cinco De Mayo — Restaurant in Jefferson City

We go to Cinco’s regularly and for good reason. The food is top notch and the staff there is 100% there to assure you have the best experience they can provide. They’re genuinely happy to see you come in and go out of there way to make sure everything is just right. If its ever NOT, they do everything to fix it. (Hey….we all make mistakes!) The table side guacamole is, well……perfect. Its EXACTLY what guacamole is supposed to be. Its a perfect appetizer (and will feed a full table!). The Ceviche is so good, sometimes, I just make that my meal!

Cinco’s is different than all the other Mexican places in town….Not that they’re “bad”….they’re fine, but Cinco’s offers a varied menu and I’m trying something different most every time I’m there. Plenty of authentic fare that you’re just not going to find anywhere else as well as all your favorite Tex-Mex dishes that are so popular in the U.S. Tonight I had the Pollo con Chorizo and loved it. My wife had grilled lime tilapia and shrimp ( I snuck a bite and it was really good!). The Taco Birria is regularly my order. Authentic and delicious.

Margarita’s you ask?…..Yep, are they’re excellent. We always do the “gold” . A little more expensive but so worth it. Cinco’s even has a Tower of Margaritas available (I think its 2+ pitchers worth in each tower).

Was very disappointed. My first experience was not good. I called ahead of time to ask if they take reservations. They told me yes and took my name down. I showed up for my party only to be told they do not take reservations and we would have to wait 20 mins to be sat. I had a party for 12 people. I asked for seating of 15. Once we finally got sat they had us split up into two tables so part of my party wasn't able to be with us. So note that they cannot accommodate a large party. They should have explained that. When taking orders they couldn't understand what we were ordering. They messed up our orders for multiple people in the party. One of my guests took a order to go and got home to realize the order was messed up and had to come back. The food was not even that good very bland and the beans are runny. This place never disappoints, I've been meaning to write a review for Cinco DE Mayo for awhile now. They are pretty quick and good at serving the food. Very well priced and you get quite a bit of food for your money. People are always nice here, and seems like we go here almost once a week. I love their chicken tacos, and there fajitas are to die for. I was not used to their chips being thin, but don't let that foul you, they are still pretty great. I am on a limited diet because of my health, and this place is great. My wife loves there adult fruity drinks whenever she gets one. This place is also great for kids also, whenever we splurge and don't eat at home. We celebrate our kids here for all of their hard work, and when they have been doing good. We rarely go out and eat. Food can be a little salty but that could be just me, because I am trying to limit my salt intake. I love this place and...
