This visit was excellent. The last 2 times were iffy, so I stayed away awhile. I recently started going back and honestly it's been all good again. The food is usually really good, and the people act like they actually want your business and are hopping! That's refreshing to see nowadays to me with the terrible service and attitude at most restaurants now a days. My new favorite is the Tacos Al Pastor. If you haven't tried it, do so next time! We also had a taco salad that was lit as well today! Cheese dip and the salsa were also on point! Great drink prices as well, so give em a shot!
Stopped in for some Tacos El Pastor and watermelon margaritas. The place was pretty busy, but the staff was doing a great job of keeping up with the crowd. Their salsa was spot on today, sometimes it varies. My food came out in a timely manner and was hot, fresh and very good. It's one of my favorite dishes here. The watermelon margaritas were awesome too, having never tried them, just had a craving. I'll be back again for sure!
Tonight was pretty bad as far as service was involved. Got stuck in the back, which is fine, but then felt like I was ignored afterwards. My margarita was not frozen, and he said it was broken. Ok, just tell me it's broken, don't bring me a glass of syrup. Food was good but Luke warm. Overall the food was good but quality could have been much better, service was non exsistant, and drinks not good. Hard to justify.
This round was a good experience. Everything was great and I was very satisfied with the food and the service.
Had a great lunch here today. Good food...
Read moreHey cousins...the place was recommended by people who aren't cousins.
Food: I ordered a side of rice and beans, a shredded chicken quesadilla, and a ground beef hard taco. The rice and beans were tasteless. The quesadilla looked like a stuffed taco with only cheese and shredded chicken...a la carte, mind you, so I kind of expected more. The taco tasted funny and was tasteless at the same time. How they pulled that off, I don't know. I also ordered extra cilantro and did not get that at all.
Service: it took a very long time to even get our order taken. They were busy so I get it. But our food came faster than it took for us to order. I do appreciate the fact that two different employees tried finding out what I didn't like and offered to make something else but at that point, I wanted nothing. The cashier wanted to drop our ticket from $31 to $20. No sir, I barely tasted any of that food.
Atmosphere: I gave it 3 stars, because it was clean inside. However, it's so loud in there that you can't have a sober...
Read moreWe love elm st El espolon, to us they are better than other Mexican restaurants in jc. Our kids absolutely love the sampler. Our only complaint is on occasion, they will leave some items off what you order. I'm not sure if it is them trying to cut costs or they are in a hurry or what? For instance I have ordered the polo pirata multiple times. It always comes with 4 pieces of a chimichanga sort of thing, but the last time I ordered it, it came with 3. The same thing has happened several times on the sampler platter, some items are missing unless you call them out on it, that's pretty disappointing! I hope they stop this...
