Yanis Coffee Zone — Restaurant in Jefferson City

So I loved back to JCMO for a job and quickly found Yanis. Being a foodie from Houston Texas I decided to try them out. They had some great options and reviews. Today I ordered the feta omelette which was great and the strawberry mango banana smoothie. When I received my smoothie via Uber eats, I tasted the smoothie first. The smoothie is extremely sweet, too sweet to drink. I called Yanis explained the issue and Zac the manager told me well that’s how they come and that’s how I made it. He also stated he hates the smoothies and when I asked if I could exchange it for another drink he said no. He was very dismissive and not nice at all, he stated well that’s what you ordered. I said well had I known it would be sweet I wouldn’t have ordered it. I said is there any way I can exchange it for another drink? He said no unfortunately that’s what you ordered. I said so basically I wasted my money. He said oh no you didn’t waste your money. I said yes I did if I can’t even exchange for a tea. I said so basically you don’t care I’m insulin resistant and cannot drink this and I cannot not exchange it? I also stated sir I don’t want my money back just another drink. Must say I wasn’t impressed at all, I get it’s busy due to the morning rush and holiday but it was not a friendly interaction when ordering our food. Also over heard interaction with other customers who had returned and they didn’t get a friendly reply either. My coffee was decent and food was ok. Biscuits were a bit doughy still, the gravy was decent, didn’t expect sausage chunks most have ground sausage but it was ok. My friends coffee was ok she would have liked to have a option of just milk chocolate since not everyone likes white or dark chocolate and when asked if they can make something that is on the menu but not put it all together maybe say I’m sorry but unfortunately not instead of just no because it’s busy they can’t make anything a certain way is just rude and inconsiderate. Many other restaurants and food places can and will do things like keeping it separate or not putting certain ingredients in it because the customer is paying for it. Will not...

I've been there a few times now it's one of my favorite restaurants in town. I went super early this morning and got a chance to sit with the owner and get to know him and he was so nice and the people that go in there and hang out are also so nice.

But having traveled to the Middle East and eating the food there it's on par with anything I've had in the Middle East region.

Their food is extremely delicious and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Plus like I said the staff the owner and even the customers are super friendly and really fun to hang out with. It's a good place to go grab a coffee or just about anything.

I did have coffee there a few times and it was also some of the best coffee I've ever had.
