Instead of quick cheap made pizza from a franchise, I decided to take kids out for real pizza tonight and "Pizza Underground" did not disappoint. Its a locally owned business by someone who grew up in the area.
They were busy so it took a little bit for the server to come to the table, but it was worth the wait. There were alot of people all came in at close to the same time, so grace was offered when drinks ran our. I feel like sometimes society forgets they are the only table a server has and leave bad reviews or complain. If a drink being low is the only complaint one can give than that tells you to dismiss the bad reviews.
Food was amazing. Large salad fed 3 people with some leftover and 2 larger pizzas with alot to take home. It was so good!!! Those who have been there know and if you hadn't then you should take time to go.
With a gluten intolerance we usually don't get to enjoy pizza without the belly ache but we were informed before going they use 100% Italian products to make the dough. And here we are 3 hours later and no doubling over in a belly ache. That's a win in itself.
We WILL definitely make this a...
Read moreMy mom and I decided to stop by this place after we went car shopping and we were absolutely blown away. I have strict food restrictions so pizza is always the easiest thing for me to get in a restaurant, that being said this was by far the best pizza I’ve had. The lava bread was sooo delicious, the garlic and cheese ratio was perfect and the marinara was good too. I got the Margherita pizza and it was delicious, the basil was so flavorful, the cheese and pizza sauce was wonderful, even the crust was amazing. My mom got the buffalo ranch pizza, and my sister got a mushroom and black olive pizza and both of them were just as impressed as I was. I also got a carrot cake cupcake and that was wonderful.
It was a Friday night so obviously it was busy but the staff were very friendly and efficient. I don’t remember our waitresses name but she was so sweet and attentive even though she was very busy as it seemed like she was also the host. She’s a rockstar.
If you are in the area you have got to check...
Read moreWe had a weird experience here. We’ve heard good things about their pizza and stopped by around 6:45. Seating is limited and we were told there would be a 20-25 minute wait, so after briefly deliberating about whether to just head somewhere else instead of waiting, we got our names put on the list and went next door for a glass of wine. When we returned 15 minutes later, a table had turned over and another party had been seated ahead of us. This wouldn’t be a big deal, but the host (different than the first person we talked to) told us they were completely out of pizza dough and couldn’t serve us. I’m confused as to how they couldn’t have predicted this would happen only 15 minutes earlier. If they’d been open about the fact that they were about to sell out for the night, we would’ve just gone elsewhere instead of waiting around only to be skipped over then turned away. I don’t know if the pizza is as good as we’ve heard or not, but the customer service and communication definitely left something...
