Avondale Bowl — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

This place was cool. Elevator or stairs gets you access to a renovated 2nd floor bowling alley. 8 lanes available and you keep score. Can reserve lanes online and $25-$35 an hour. Limited balls available and all shoes are Velcro. Oblong bar in bar area with bar seating as well as booths and a couple couches. Booths are not fat friendly. Very narrow area between table and bench. Bar chairs are attached to floor so may be hard to access but aren't extremely close to bar. 4 non gendered accessible one person bathrooms available. Soap may be hard to reach from wheelchair and paper towels located far from sink and may also be hard to access from chair. Amazing selection of alcohol and many beers and spirits for under $7. Great staff who really took the time to help and chat. Pretzels/candy bowls at bar. Can order in food with ordering app of choice if you want. Steps from elevator to bowling area may make it hard to access if using...

Went here with a group of friends to celebrate my partner's birthday, and it was great as usual. The vibe and decor at Avondale are fun, and it's nice to go somewhere without all the electronics of more modern bowling alleys. The staff was super friendly, as always, and were helpful with a few small issues we had that enabled us to have a great time.

Cocktails are incredible at Avondale, I've never had a bad one and this time I tried the rotating Daquiri that was perfect, along with Jupiter's Tonic which was really nice given the balance against aquavit. Everyone enjoyed their drinks, and as usual the beer menu had a few interesting stand-outs as well.

Honestly, I can't recommend Avondale Bowl enough. It's more expensive overall then bowling at the bowl-o-rama, but the atmosphere is way nicer and the cocktails are surprisingly inexpensive given how good they are. It's worth the trip, but be sure to make a reservation, it's...

Terrible customer experience. My friends and I had rented a few lanes for Friendsgiving. I forgot my ID, but they don’t require IDs before 7:30 (if the owner is reading this feel free to check the camera and timestamp - It was 2 Thursdays ago). I showed up before then. They didn’t let me in. Did not follow their own rules. Acted superior for whatever reason. Insane comments they made I won’t go into on here. My friends and I will never go back. People that I tell will never go in the first place.

They don’t care about their customers - it’s a pattern in their reviews.

Hopefully the owner(s) read this, chat, connect with the team and change a few things.
