Sushi and Thai Close to Home!
This was our first time attending a soft opening—and it was amazing. I’ve been watching this location evolve over time, keeping an eye out for the “We’re Open” sign. As soon as it went up, I brought my family in for a bite.
Tucked away in Logan Square, the restaurant isn’t on a busy street but rather nestled between two small cross streets. It’s a very unassuming spot with just a simple sign on the awning—the perfect recipe for a hidden gem.
The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. If you’re visiting, the Logan Square Signature Maki is a must-try.
Prices are reasonable, and the portions are just right.

Read moreWe are SO happy to have Big Bird in this space on our block! We visited during their first day open and we had tempered our expectations, thinking they’d likely be working out some kinks with timing and service. We were pleasantly surprised to receive stellar service! On top of that, all the dishes we tried were great. For sushi, we tried the sashimi set, the Sexy Yuzu Madai maki and the Cubs Roll. This was a nice variety of fresh, traditional raw fish and Americanized sushi. On the Thai side, we tried the pad Thai, basil fried rice and veggie egg rolls. Everything was delicious! Our favorite were the two rolls and the pad Thai, which was delightfully sweet. Next time, we’ll ask for it spicy. We can’t wait...

We got a platter of apps to start which was a good size and yummy. Spicy miso soup was hot and delicious. Love the seaweed salad. The wide pad Thai was very good and the perfect portion. The panang curry noodle was the best part! We did order it medium and it wasn’t spicy at all so either they didn’t believe us in the spice level or they forgot, but the flavor was very good nonetheless. No bar yet, but it is byob until they get their license. We will definitely be back for more Thai and to try...
