Didn't even get to try the Pizza. Tried to order from the store today for delivery. I am on Augusta and Lawndale. This place is on Armitage and Kimball. Anyone who is from the city knows these 2 locations are close. Yet they refuse to deliver to me even though I'm 8 mins away and only 1.2 miles away. They first had an incompetent person on the phone taking our order who clearly sounded like he had no clue what he was doing. I asked to speak to the manager about not being serviced by delivery and this person didn't even talk to me. He just took the phone and hung up on me. I can hear him in the background talking to the employee. I also have a strong inclination that these restaurants that are able and close enough to deliver to my location refuse to service this community because we are Black. Although we are close, they refuse to service our community. Anyone who is from this city knows exactly what I'm talking about. But if you look at the attached picture, you'd notice something. I called Sarpinos, all the way on Damen near the 606 trail and they deliver to my address with no problem. They are much farther away from me yet they are willing to service my community. These companies and businesses feel as though they don't have to compete. And they feel as though they can skip over the Black community (who would most likely give them the most business) and yet turn around and service gentrification communities without consequences. If you are from the city, do not support garbage companies like this one. They don't want to serve us then they don't deserve our money or support. Anyone living south of North Ave near this location, don't support them. Support those businesses that are willing to respect us and...

Read moreDetroit beats Chicago. After living in Chicago for years and never finding the “famous” pizza that the city is supposedly known for, my search stopped when I met the Detroit-style pizza from Jets Pizza. You won’t miss the fact that it’s not much more than a large hole-in-the-wall place once you experience this pizza. This is my go-to for flavor. I find myself too often unnecessarily driving down Armitage in order to make a stop. It’s hard to shake the craving. This pizza is flavor overload-a robust tangy sauce with a hint of heat topped with the gooey-ness of fresh cheese baked to perfection in a crust that compares to no other-a thick but light as air concoction, with a sensory-satisfying crunch, yet equally chewy, buttery and baked to perfection. It’s totally addictive. Friendly staff, very reasonably priced, and easy parking at the Armitage location. If you’ve not been, run, don’t walk. You...
