We went in for dinner on a whim when Ramon, one of the owners, popped out as we were walking by and welcomed us to give it a try. One glance at a big, delicious looking plate of food sitting in front of one of the diners convinced us we wouldn’t regret it. We ordered the Joy Burger and a daily special (Seco de carne - a sort of stewed beef). We loved both so much! Finally, a burger that isn’t the sad, overly greasy cheeseburger with Big Mac sauce that so many joints in Logan offer! The patty was thick even though we got a single - can’t imagine what 2 Pattie’s looks like! The fries were awesome too. I begged Ramon to add the stewed beef dish to the regular menu - I’d come back again just for that. The beef was tender and the sauce/gravy it was in was so good I mixed my rice in it to soak it all up. The plantains were good and not greasy. So happy to have a unique place in the neighborhood like Joy! Will definitely become a regular...

This brand new spot in Logan Square was great. As a pescatarian I was pretty sad when ground control closed, but I was really pleasantly surprised with this spot. Firstly it’s byob which is great and saves money. I got the portabello burger which was delicious with poblano peppers and mozzarella. I also shared the calamari which was great. The service was quick and nice. I have no complaints and I’ll definitely be back. Also, living in Logan square I get tired of my sandwiches being $17 and fries being $6 extra. These sandwiches and burgers come with a choice of fries or salad. For three people to get an app and entree, it came to $55 pre tip. That really can’t be beat in this area. I hope they do well, definitely check...

I had the Chuleta Grileada (Pork Chop). It came with beans, rice, french fries, fried plantain, and a small salad. The beans were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The white rice was a pleasant surprise. It looks plain but is far from it. The yellow sauce had a nice kick but didn't linger in the mouth. The pork chop is bone in, charred to a lovely balance of sweet and smokey. The meat around the edges was a bit dry (to be expected when grilled), but the meat nearest the bone was very moist. The french fries weren't very crispy, but my daughter and I enjoyed them. Everything was devoured. We finished with the flan! I loved how friendly the staff is, they are very welcoming. Ramone is the best! I really loved his service! I was outside looking at the menu on the glass when he came out to speak to me. He was so nice that's why I decided to order food with them. This place is new so there wasn't much action going on. The restaurant is very clean and maybe I'll dine in one day. I really liked my Chicken Parmesan. I feel like the chicken was seasoned very well. I also love the portion size. Additionally, my Mango Agua Fresca was delicious and it wasn't too sweet. I like that, maybe y'all won't My only critique is that the pasta sauce is a little acidic, maybe add some sugar to balance it. Other than that, I will be returning.

This is an Ecuadorian & American restaurant, some popular dishes taken from both cultures. The restaurant's atmosphere is neutral. Music is mostly of great Spanish rock at a volume above conversational level. The portions of food are on the generous side, served warm, but just a bit bland. Waitress was attentive and swift, although she forgot to bring some basic knowledge items while serving. Restrooms are neat and clean. There's room for improvement in the food department, this my score. Btw, they also serve breakfast, which I'll need to try out one day.
