I am Mexican and very picky about Mexican food and this is the best I found in their cooking ability. The place is rustic...very rustic. The parking lot is spacious without pavement. When you come in, the wholesale section is to the right and the restaurant section to the left. I ordered “enchiladas rojas” and the woman cooking told me she just cooked the chicken and the tortillas were made fresh daily (Los Gamas also sell the masa so you cook them at home). The “enchiladas” came with beans and rice and a little cream, cheese, and lettuce. The plate was well served. The “horchata” was very good (not too sweet).
My only recommendation is to upgrade the tables and chairs and to give silverware instead of plastic forks. Friendly especially the women.
This place also sells tamales, masa, roasted peanuts, honey, and other Mexican delicacies. For sure I will be back. I do recommend the food to take home. Bring your containers as they use non-recyclable...
Read moreMy family and I tried this place for the first time to give it a try. We loved the food, delicious! Although, the service was alright. Not a sorry we are no longer taking orders, or something a little more nicely. If you have your business hours 7-6pm I would assume you close and are done at 6, not 5:45-5:50, especially when we are paying customers. As a business owner I would assume you’d go above and beyond for your customer's, since they are the ones to keep your business going as well. Overall I would return...
Read moreI always thought this place only sold tortillas and masa. A friend wanted to meet here for lunch.
We tried different tacos: chicken, carne asada, and al pastor. The tortillas were great, but the rest was just ok. We also tried a tamale and a huarache, and those were good. I saw they have chilaquiles, and I might come back and try those.
Very small space, pretty chilly, they had an extra heat lamp on. We ordered from the window to the right and told them it was for here. We sat and waited, and she ended up packaging our food to go. We noticed regulars ordering from the second window to the left. I guess that's where you order to eat in? It...
