I just started working in the area and have gone a few times. Each time, the food was hot and fresh and ready when I got there after ordering through the app. The first time I went in, I noticed that they had funnel cake fries which were not available in the app so I ordered those in-person plus came back for more the other time. It was a short wait because they were made fresh but it was a reasonable amount of time.
Most recently, the funniest thing happened that made me feel like their workers were properly trained in food sanitization and took pride in their work. As I walked in, the worker was placing a box of food on the counter and the box fell to the floor. The worker said "oh, lord. I've dropped these people's food", picked it up and threw it in the trash. I feel there are workers out there who would have put it back on the counter since the food was in a box, but the worker did the right thing.
She then greeted me in a way that was rude, but definitely needed improvement as it wasn't the best customer service. It was far from being the worst, so not a big deal. I told her my name and that I was there to pick up my food. She looked embarrassed and said that it was my food that had fallen. I laughed about it then waited 3-5 minutes for her to get my order ready again. She apologized and gave me my food. I laughed and said "no worries". I wish I had gotten her name because I felt she handled the situation very well.
As far as the location itself, it seems clean every time I have come in. The parking lot is clean as well. I do wish they paid more attention to the counter because there is not always somewhere there and I have had to wait for them to notice me standing there. At least out a bell out front...
Read moreI think the renovation must have cut in to their HR budget because I have NEVER had a worse experience at this location and this was my 1st visit since they closed to renovate. We went to the drive thru as one car just finished ordering and the only other car in front of us pulled up to order. We sat there while they "ordered"? for a solid 5 minutes. They were still there when we parked to go in and order bc it was nuts for it to take that long. We parked, walked in, it was empty, one guy was at the drive thru window and there was no one else to be seen. We waited another 4 mins before I started saying "hello? Excuse me, we'd like to order?" 2 mins later some employee walked up with no urgency, seemingly annoyed, never apologized, asked for our order. Took our order as 2 other folks walked in, 1 had a mobile order and the other 2 were dining in. We waited 10 mins for a quesadilla, a small mashed potato and a drink which is self serve. The lack of customer service, respect or urgency was disgusting. When we got our $15 order 10 mins later and we thanked him, he almost didn't even say anything but mumbled "welcome" as we were turning to leave. They should be appalled. After a weekend of home projects, we decided to skip cooking and get KFC. When I arrived, two employees were behind the register swapping out cash drawers. Neither acknowledged me. After standing there awkwardly for a few minutes, I had to ask if they were ready to take my order.
The order: 12 pieces of chicken and 2 orders of 4-biscuits (8 total). When the order was ready, it was just one bucket. I asked the cashier if the biscuits were coming separately; she said everything was in the bucket.
Get home: just 2 biscuits total. Completely overcharged. And then regarding the 12-pieces of chicken: the bulk of the order was legs (5) and wings (2). All together there were only 2 full pieces of chicken. Definitely not $45 worth of food.
I did try calling the restaurant about the missing biscuits. No surprise, no one answered their phone.
We only eat at KFC every few years, and honestly, this might be the last time ever. Disappointing doesn't even begin...
