We moved back to the area… have been wanting to try diff restaurants in our neighborhood… we finally remembered this place we always pass on the way home! Sooo glad we did!! OMG the food was SOOOO good… from the homemade chips and salsa to the dinners… I ordered the three carne asada tacos dinner… meat was FIRE!!! Tacos tasted just like food vendors in Mexico!! My bf got the torta de milanesa dinner and HOLY MOLY that torta was HUGE.. FILLED AND HEAVY!! We actually took the rest to go… he couldn’t finish the whole torta as he usually would and the tacos were filled sooo good no skimping on the filling they couldn’t close! The chips my son LOVEDDDD he asked for more but he ended up eating some of our plate and said he rated them 39/10! lol and the food was delish! The horchata tooo everything the taste the music the atmosphere reminded me of visiting Mexico… our server was so sweet and soft spoken! She didn’t bother us much and got everything down the correct way! It was very lonely in there… no people sitting to eat just looked like a lot of to go orders:) def rec sitting and eating there!! This is our New Mexican food spot, going to try diff plates next time!! But we will be ordering so often and going to eat they will recognize us!

I absolutely loved this place! The staff is super friendly, and the food is fantastic. I ordered a steak burrito with double meat, suiza style, and it was amazing. They were really generous with the meat, and the extra portion was only $3—which is a great deal compared to most places that still skimp on portions. When we picked up our order, they offered us a sample of their soup, and it was incredible. I'm not usually a fan of having soups at restaurants, but this one was packed with flavor and brought back nostalgic memories of the homemade soups I grew up with.

Ate there last night and loved it! It was such a pleasant surprise eating at this restaurant. Our favorites were the birria and the steak and pastor tacos. Of course paired with bottled cokes and finished with horchata. When there are so many places to choose from in Chicago, it always good to find gems with delicious food at reasonable prices and great attentive staff!

Absolutely thrilled to have this place open in the neighborhood. Chorizo tacos are my favorite and these are the best I've had in Chicago. A perfect bite, even without salsa. The al pastor were also great. If you're looking for a great classic taco definitely give them a try!

The service was friendly and attentive, and they served us a cup of soup for free when we dined in, which was a nice touch. Can't wait to come back to try the chilaquiles and...
