my husband and I had a disturbing experience at your restaurant during a recent visit. Having passed by your establishment multiple times, I was genuinely excited to try it,I had hoped for a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience, but unfortunately, what transpired was quite the opposite. From the moment we walked in, we noticed noticeable stares and cold looks directed at us. Both my husband and I are Hispanic, and it seemed that most of the other customers were non-Hispanic. Regrettably, it felt as though the staff did not want us there. This was particularly disheartening because I assumed we would be treated equal to other patrons, particularly since much of your staff is Latino/Hispanic. Throughout the meal, the behavior of our server was noticeably different from his interactions with other tables. He was cold and distant towards us, and at one point, when I was ordering, he acted as if he could not understand me, seemingly implying I had an accent. I am American, with no accent, so this interaction was both confusing and hurtful. The situation worsened when my husband returned from the bathroom and was subjected to a disdainful stare from another staff member, which was so upsetting it brought me to tears. It is incredibly disheartening to experience such treatment, especially when we were simply there as paying customers hoping for a pleasant meal. While I can say the food was very good, the overall experience was marred by what felt like discriminatory treatment based on our ethnicity.I hope you will take this feedback seriously and consider ways to ensure all customers, regardless of background, are treated with respect and kindness. No one should feel unwelcome or discriminated against in your...

Back again for a quick dinner. Shrimp fajitas for me, Flautas for the family. Fajitas were good, lots of shrimp and peppers. Leftovers will be a good lunch with some salad. Was told the ground beef Flautas were "ok," but wife wasn't loving them for "not having any flavour" and being greasy. Chicken flautas were good, but not completely eaten. No fault of the taste, more the amount of chips and salsa consumed before dinners arrival. And on that note, great salsa. Medium spice and flavourful.
Long ago, in a Maria's before remodeling.
Went back today for a party. The food was much better, as well was the service. It actually makes a decent place for an afternoon event.
Food was ok, when it was the food I ordered. Strange when you mention being a vegetarian and order enchiladas, the last thing you'd expect was ground beef. Not paying attention, since it was covered in sauce, I had the first bite of beef that I've had in 30ish years. I can say I didn't enjoy the flavour. On so many levels.
But wait there's more. So, you would think that when you mention AGAIN about being vegetarian being served beef enchiladas, the server might say they were sorry, there must have been some sort of mix up. Nope, just an, "oh, I'll have them remake it." And very unapologetic at that. After that service just got crappier. And I wasn't being a jerk about it, I just stayed calm to see what would happen. The answer... Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Management never came to apologize, service got worse, and the mostly enjoyable place we'd gone to several times was taken off of the list of places we'd return too.
Terribly...

VEGETARIANS BEWARE!!! The beans are not vegetarian. The waitress was pretty checked out/spaced out, so I had to ask her multiple times before getting a straight answer (she finally went back to the kitchen to ask...and made me aware that she was not happy to do so).
I asked about the enchiladas, chimichanga and nachos...which of them are vegetarian. Her response was muffled, and I honestly don't think she understood what I was asking.
I ordered my mole enchiladas, which arrived with a huge pile of rice. It was hard to get a hold of her, but half way through I was able to ask if the huge pile if rice on my plate was vegetarian. The same waitress smiled big and said, NO. I didn't understand why she would give me non-vegetarian rice? When I placed the order, why not mention it?
I know it's the suburbs, but guys...it's 2023 and not everyone likes to eat animal stuff. Blech. At least be forthcoming with the information, and teach the waitress what it means when a vegetarian asks, "is this meal vegetarian?" Does it have pork, beef or chicken stock or lard? Yes? Then it's not vegetarian, and you should let the customer know.
I was with a meat eater who ordered the verde chicken enchiladas, and they were inedible. The green sauce was so spicy (with zero flavor), she could not stomach them.
Unfortunately we paid $100 for the meal (for three people) and did not even order drinks. For that price the meal should have been way better.
Would never go back here. Ever. Again. Ever. Bad food. Even worse service. Save your money for a...
