Shawarma Bite — Restaurant in Leyden Township

These guys just opened not too long ago! I didn’t even know they were minutes away from my house. I was actually going to a different place, I parked in front of them and I saw the name, Shawarma Bite. And as shawarma is one of my favorite dishes, it was a very quick change in the menu. I wasn’t disappointed. Three guys in there, competing to win the trophy for the most friendliest. Service was super fast and I enjoyed chatting with the guys while waiting. They are very welcoming and the food, super fresh, home made, big portions, I’m finally eating healthy. I had the chicken shawarma and one of my side choices was the hummus. I made a pick up order for chicken shawarma and mixed grill with falafel and the food was less than average. For the price it's just not worth it for me. There are too many other good options for Mediterranean food in the area. The biggest dissapointment was the meat. What was displayed on the pics did not match what we got. The mixed grill had kebabs and we got chicken beast that tasted like it was frozen then over cooked. The beef was a patty instead of a kefta. The chicken in the shawarma bowl was very dry and tasted like it was cooked twice. Not sure how it got a 4.9 rating but it's not for me. The service was fast but that might be because the meat had already been sitting out for a while. That's what it tasted like. IMO there are better options for that price with fresh...

I visited Shawarma bite and I was really impressed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and helpful right from the start.

The shawarma was the star of the show — juicy, full of flavor, and wrapped in fresh, soft bread. I tried both the chicken and beef, and each had great seasoning and taste. The garlic sauce was smooth and delicious, and the pickles gave a nice crunch that balanced everything out.

Their side dishes, like the fries and hummus, were also excellent — fresh, flavorful, and served in good portions. Everything was well-prepared and served quickly.
