I ordered a turkey club panini (a little over $7 and for the price, I was a bit disappointed at how small it was. However, I also ordered a chopped salad and that made up for the sandwich. *Update 6/21/21 - ordered an Italian Trio on Asiago and a (toasted) Cheddar Herb Bagel. The sandwich was good (would order again) and my daughter enjoyed her bagel. The restaurant and it's bathroom is ALWAYS clean and the customer service here is ALWAYS GREAT. They offer a variety of bagels and cream cheese options. The coffee station is self serve and it also offers a variety of options on coffee and they offer tamales on weekends.

For authentic NYC deli style bagels, look no further than this spot. Located in a Non descript strip mall, right off Harlem and North Avenue. It's family owned and received the most friendliest and attentive service. Sweet, savory, plain or gourmet, they have many flavors to choose from. I happened to visit during Lent so they had many Lox options. They also have hand made tamales on weekends, daily hand packed cream cheese spreads and bagels straight from the oven.

Elmwood Park is not short of great sandwich joints, but this place for being a chain business is crafting sandwiches as good as any specialty place around and that is because of the staff. There are a couple ladies that make you feel like you are eating in their home kitchen , from incredible daily soups to loaded bagels they do it all right. My favorite sandwich in the entire town is the Mexican veggie wrap from this awesome spot!

So I came to this shop this morning, 3rd day in a row. My schedule changed and I was like ok this is going to be my go-to place for a quick breakfast/lunch, but after today’s experience, I’m good, no thanks. So let me start by saying that this isn’t an attempt to get anything for free. It’s legit about listening to the customer and carrying out their order. And when that DOESN’T HAPPEN, the business, especially a local business should try to make it right. I went in and asked for a chicken caprese sandwich on a regular bagel. I LITERALLY SAID CHICKEN CAPRESE. I get home and start working, then I bite into the sandwich and it’s really soft, I eventually realize that the chicken is missing. I called them and at first, the person who made it, Rosa, was like yeah come in and we’ll remake it. I was like ok and I said thank you for making it right. THEN….I get a callback a minute later, she said that they only charged me for the regular caprese sandwich, not the chicken one….STILL MY ORDER WAS WRONG. I asked what the price difference was…she said a few cents. I CAME TO THIS BAGEL SHOP BECAUSE OF THE CHICKEN CAPRESE SANDWICH, if I wanted a Bagel with a few slices of tomato and a few slices of Mozzarela, I would’ve put that together at home! And I get it, maybe someone going there everyday DOESN’T IMPACT the business enough for you all to care, but you should want to make sure that the orders are being made correctly and that the customer is getting what they asked for. And when that doesn’t happen, you should want to make it right. It’s not like the counter is completely see-thru where I can verify that you’re making my sandwich correctly. And it’s not the McDonald’s drive thru where I should have to unwrap my sandwich in the store before leaving to make sure you guys didn't screw it up. Thanks but no thanks. Sucks that a local place doesn’t care about...

There needs to be some sort of quality control done at this location. I am a huge fan of breakfast bagels & I've ordered from the Great American bagel in Lakeview more times than I can count; this morning I thought it would be a great idea to try this location and I regret it.

I usually order the Popeye omelette (two of them) which is a pretty big omelette. I also add bacon & avocado to my order so I pay a liiiittle more than base price. I also get a bagel bone for my dog every single time.

The problem with my order is that my dogs bagel bone was ... blue. That's right, I'm not sure when they bake the bagel bones (which is just bread in bone shape) or how they store the bagel bones, but today I was sold a moldy bagel bone and didn't realize it until I got home and presented it to my dog. This means my food was sitting in a bag with moldy bread on my drive all the way home - gross!

I'm really disappointed with my overall order. Because of the bagel bone being moldy, I worry about how they store all of the other breaded items. Something like mold can't just be scraped off, this isn't okay. The whole batch of bagel bones should be tossed and redone.

There are other reviews that talk about the cleanliness of this location and I wish I caught that beforehand. I wouldn't recommend visiting this location, but I do recommend the great American bagel in Lakeview if you want yummy food in a...

Just had a terrible experience with this store. I frequent this location regularly and have always taken care of the staff there, but I have no interest in going back after today.

I placed a sizable order for a few items including two bagels toasted with plain cream cheese. When I got home I realized I had received two bagels untoasted with no cream cheese.

So I drove all the way back to the store where they had the nerve to actually charge me another $2.14 for cream cheese! I told them I didn’t think that was right since they messed up the order and I had to drive back at which point the staff became VERY combative and started telling me it was MY responsibility to make sure they made the order correct and charged me correctly.

The girl who made my order incorrect even tried to tell me I told her the wrong item. Never mind that she was multitasking making another order when she asked me mine, didn’t write anything down, etc. It was obviously my fault!

I’ve went to that store for over two years on a weekly basis (sometimes more than once a week!), but after today, I have zero interest in going back there. I will take my business down the road to Panera or other local shops. Hope you can provide the staff there better customer service training...
