February 2,2019 I went in this ups store to send off an Apple Watch to my Neice in another state, I didn’t have a box or anything so I purchased that ,Now here is where the problem arises I asked that a signature be required for this package because of what the item was. So I track the package throughout the time,the day it was due to be delivered it was said “Driver released package left at front door!What happened to my signature and do they not know people take packages from porches daily especially small boxes !Now I called ups was informed that the stores are franchises,I didn’t know that so I receive emails saying we are investigating your claim and it will take 10 days so I give them 15 call and is told the same ,Now I finally go into the ups store speak with Tamika ?and could be wrong about the name because by this time I’m furious she tells me well why didn’t you come and see us well I didn’t know that these were franchises ,might I add I took out the extra insurance because of what I was sending! Needless to say it will be Two months I have reported this business to The BBB I have also filed a complaint I heard from them once and was told that it would take a month to receive the check for the amount of insurance,This is poor business practices and they probably think I’m scamming or hoping that I give up,I’ve had to replace that watch and I want what I paid for because they failed to deliver,I was also waiting for the owner to call me and he/she has yet to do so!I will not ever use this store to send anything there’s no sense of urgency and if I’m not mistaken they have insurance for this purpose. Read moreUPS has gone downhill. 1st they never attempted to drop off my package but claiming they attempted. Then they dropped it off at this location. made me wait a extra day to only force me to pick it up. Then I get alert the next day stating the package was delivered and ready to be picked up, only to wait in line for 15 mins to then be told to come back in one hour so they can look for it. A complete waste of my time and Money !
*update - - after picking up my package "the next day" the owner came and spoke to me directly on the issue at hand. - She informed me the following that problem/issue wasn't the stores fault, but UPS its self that was to blame. Either way I personally feel the store represents UPS as a whole. If they know UPS has issues with the deliveries vs notices being sent correctly, then they need to relay/address this to USP corporate. I understand its independently owned, but they still represent USP as a whole. Their customers shouldn't haven't to pay for a broken process. I'm a business owner myself and understand that not everything is in my control, but at some point someone needs to take responsibility and attempt to correct the problem. It probably wouldn't have taken the original rep more then 5 mins to located the package on the 1st visit or even given me the option to wait. this would have saved us both the headache and inconvenience of having to take more time out to drive to this location. I'm changing my rating for 1 to 3 stars only because the owner spoke to me directly on the matter. Read moreI just mailed literally 20 boxes of different shapes and sizes, to all different US locations, and had absolutely the BEST mailing/shipping experience ever at the UPS Store on North Ave in Oak Park. Tammika, Veronica, and George were such a great team -- measuring each box, addressing each box, labeling each box, putting each box on the trolley, serving other customers at the same time -- SUCH GREAT TEAMWORK and so efficient! I want to give Tammika a special shout-out, I really appreciate her patience and attention to detail. She caught two mistakes on my boxes and helped me adjust the packaging on another box to streamline the mailing. She truly went above and beyond. Tammika was also great about keeping the customers in the store to the 4 max capacity. She was thoughtful, conscientous, and absolutely lovely. Looking forward to my next trip! This isn't even the UPS location closest to my house, but it's definitely worth the drive! The parking situation was also pretty easy, and they had a hand truck for customer use, which made bringing in the 20 boxes easier. Thank you again to this wonderful team,...
