Ricura Mexicana — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

We had high hopes for this newer Mexican restaurant in our neighborhood. The location is convenient, the decor is lovely, and the atmosphere initially felt promising. We ordered two taco dinners with onion and cilantro to-go. The person who took our order was polite but distracted, casually playing a game on her iPad between interactions.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to even basic expectations. The tacos were dry and lacked flavor — the meat had no depth, and the tortillas tasted old. Even the lime wedges were so dried out they gave no juice. The refried beans were bland and tasted like they’d been sitting out too long, and the rice had an off flavor that made it nearly inedible. The red sauce was overpowering with vinegar, and while the green sauce was the one redeeming part of the meal, it wasn’t enough to save the rest.

Overall, everything tasted store-bought and generic, with none of the homemade warmth or freshness you hope for from a taco spot. A real letdown, especially given the potential this place...

My family & I love supporting Latino businesses. When we came across this restaurant we were quickly influenced to try it out. In all honesty, it was a massive disappointment. We tried the torta de asada, huarache de asada, enchiladas & nachos. Meat was bland, there was a lack of flavor all around. The cheese on the nachos & enchiladas tasted like it was on its last day. It had a rancid smell & was very unpleasant to experience. We really wished to have good feedback to offer like the other reviews, but our experience was upsetting. I hope my feedback serves as constructive criticism. I am not trying to bash this restaurant. If proper measures are taken to positively correct & better the quality of the food, we would be more than willing to give this place another try. We wish this business nothing...

Absolutely loved my visit to RICURA Mexican restaurant! The food was incredible — the sincronizada al pastor was amazing, packed with flavor and perfectly grilled. The chilaquiles verdes con huevo were súper good — the green salsa had just the right tangy kick, and the eggs were cooked to perfection.

The staff was extremely servicial and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The music added such a great vibe — lively and authentic, just like the food. Can't wait to come back! Highly...
