I am truly disappointed.
Our male server's efficiency, engagement, rude and sassy attitude on July 3, 2022, was mind blowing. I've provided the date and it was a male server in order for the owner(s) would be able to identify the server for corrective actions. I truly hope the customer experience will improve after this review.
I have a habit for looking at my watch for the time, so the minutes blow is pretty accurate. While waiting to order, our server ignored us for a solid 19-minutes wall chatting with folks that was waiting for take-out. Since he was unavailable, we've ordered our meal from a waitress. Another 8 minutes later he came back and said only he can take our order.
Finally, after properly ordering a good amount of time has passed; enough for the restaurant to clear out with the exception of one table that was seated 20 minutes after us. This table was also finishing up their meal and we didn't receive anything. Approximately 45 minutes after ordering, we check with the server to see where the food was, and he look shocked. It's pretty apparent he forgot to submit the order. An order like of tapsilog doesn't take long. Sitting at a restaurant for an hour and a half and only receiving a third of our food, we told the waiter to cancel everything else as it is taken way too long. This is where his rude and sassy attitude exploded. I quickly told the server it's ok, let's cancel the food that didn't come out and let's receive the bill. This server continued to put blame on us for (1) not reminding him about the food earlier, (2) we should have told him that 3 of us had a flight, (3) telling us that was had some food so it wasn't so bad, (4) point out that cooking time may take over an hour. Nevertheless the server was pasting the blame to everyone else, including us--the customers.
According to Life360 we were at the restaurant from 1:25PM to 2:57PM (1hr 32min)
My wife and I have many years in the service industry, so we get it. Just own it and say sorry. No need to be rude. My wife and I will always tip 20%; 25-30% if it is exceptional; 15% for bad service.
Apparently, the server was also worried about the tip, he forced a 20% automatic gratuity. Just to be clear, the menu didn't state a gratuities requirement anywhere on the menu. If I remember correctly, that's a lawsuit. - google it-- We had to run and just wanted to get out of there, so we...

I even asked to try a super small piece of Chinese sausage that they used in another dish because I never have had it and would be upset if I ordered it to have to return it because I did not like it. Was not trying to waste food nor people's time. The lady who was sat down majority of the time (probably the owner) denied my request to try a sample size and to me that is also an indicator that the place only cares about money rather than quality and have repeat customers. I also understand it is a business but with the prices they are charging to eat rice noodles with some sauce on it. You would think it wouldn't be a huge issue to sample a piece of something. That is of course a personal preference of mine and many others will not agree. But for those similar to me, I'm sure you will appreciate to know this. The crab sauce on the palabok did not even taste like crab it truly did not have an actual decent taste. The texture was also off-putting because of that sauce. A dish like palabok must be eaten hot and fresh. If you let it cool down that adds to the sauce setting into some gelatin like substance. The servers who are putting together the orders were very nice and quick with getting orders out. The amount of food I will say was worth the price itself. It can feed two people off of one dish granted you also get an app to share or simply have a light lunch. The Lumpia was pretty good. I have had better but for the price and quantity it was acceptable. I still want to try some of the main dishes but not convinced I should come back to this place in particular. Read moreWe have been here multiple times at their old location on Montrose as well at the new location on Pulaski. The value and food are good. The service is horrible. We ordered food for takeout and paid (plus tip) online and arrived at the scheduled time, a little after just to ensure it was done. I entered and there was one employee taking care of the takeout station (scooping food and cashier) and another individual (female), manager or owner, sitting on a stool gambling on her phone, I asked her to see if that was my paid order? She refused, pointing to the one employee basically doing two jobs. I waited 10 minutes before getting to the front of the line, only to have him grab my order off the unheated shelf. The shelf was literally arms-length away, she may never have had to move an inch to grab it and hand it to me. Then she gets angry when I mention it and indicates she is performing important "work" when I can clearly see what she was doing. This is terrible customer service, the order was paid for and ready, perhaps management should consider two lines one for walk-in and the other for pre-ordered and pre-paid customers so that the food is not getting...
