Definitely should have checked reviews, don't waste your time and money. Sat ourselves at an empty table, place wasn't busy but had a few families eating. Girl who greeted us seemed nice, brought some chips but then promptly disappeared. During the almost twenty minutes we sat there trying to be acknowledged so we could order no less than three separate employees passed our table (all visible from the counter this place isn't big). A group that came after us was served at which point we were about to get up and leave (definitely had the feeling we weren't welcome), an employee who had been on break at the table next to us must have over heard and got the staff to bring some waters and take our order, we stayed because we were starving and at that point had already been there for close to half an hour. Second mistake. Chicken burrito was dry, meat was clearly old fried chicken from at least a day or so ago, enchiladas were over cooked and burnt on the bottom. Too many good spots in the area to even think about...
Read moreMight as well be a robot taking orders, i'd feel better about the meal one is about to eat. FoH cared less about a greeting and was definitely not trying to answer questions with abrupt attitude - must've been an extremely long day in the AC, away from the burning heat outside, handling orders and money, with displeasing groaning, yawn and body language as to not wanting to be there any longer - distastefully, impatiently, waiting to leave.
Not the place for vegetarians as there was a repetitive debate exchanged between FoH and BoH in regards to what the order was that contained no meat (didn't want a heavy chicken meal late in the evening after work). Glad i played it safe since the rice was loaded heavy but undercooked, becoming one big sloppy disaster after some of the sauces, expensive 4 slices of avocado, and cabbage mix. A long wait, simple food items - concerned about more complex choices and specialties. Hopefully those are better prepared. Easy to skip the risk for better options few blocks...
Read moreDelicious Honduran food. I entered thinking it was a Mexican restaurant but it was not.. The food had a very Latin taste but different. Very tasty and very fresh. Made to order. their breakfast is great. They have a dish called typical Honduran breakfast with meat(picture attached) and it has eggs, skirt steak, cheese, avocado, hand made tortillas and black beans and sweet plantains. The Honduran tamales (picture attached) are also very delicious. They're very moist with big chuncks of meat and rice in them!! I've also tried their popusas (also delicious) Today I tried a pastel and a super baleada(attached pictures) . Both were delicious. The pastel bread was flakey and soft and the inside was juicy and tender. The baleada was almost like a burrito in the sense that it had a meat and cream and avocado and cheese. It was very much like a comfort food. I will continue to keep going back and trying new things...
