We've been going to this location for a while now. We've always liked the food, service has always been good and never had a complain... up until this morning.Ā It was five of us that were suppose to have breakfast an celebrate my wife's bday.2 had arrived 3 minutes before my wife and I did.they had told them to wait until the whole party was there... and to wait at the door. The server told them in a rude tone and very aggressive but ok whatever.Ā When we arrived 3 minutes later I told them if we could sit down.. they said no because we were still missing 1 out of the 5. We told the server that she wasn't gonna have food, she was just gonna stop by and have a coffee to go.she Just wanted to say happy birthday to my wife. They said no in a rude unprofessional way and walked away. When he came back around I asked if he was gonna let us sit now and he said no it restaurant rules.. I said ok then we don't have to eat here then. I asked for the manager to make her aware of what was happening and left.
I understand that restaurants can have rules and I usually respect them. But this time the restaurant was empty, inside and outside. They had 2 couples sitting. It was a Thursday at 9:30am. The manager said that this was a way to manage the time each table had to eat.if parties came at different times they would have to prolong the time they ate.Ā i told her it was aĀ Thursday 9:30am what are the odds of the restaurant getting fullĀ withing the next 45minutes. Also, the 5 person in our party was just gonna stop by for a coffee say happy birthday and go, what difference did it make if we got to sit down. We were ready to order anyways.we had a busy day of things todo and weren't expecting to stay there a long time.
I understand if it was a weekend morning that those rules might apply..but on a Thursday morning with an empty restaurant? They should have exceptions. And there was no need for the staff to be rude. They could of told us in a nicer way to wait instead of pointing at the door, screaming at us and telling us to wait, Sad to say they just lost a long...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent with my girlfriend today and was excited because this being a Latin American restaurant I expected well-seasoned items as I was very tired of American breakfasts being bland. We went in with high expectations and were disappointed. First the location is a bit confusing because we were looking for parking for 25 minutes and could not find any; called and found out it was in the back of the building. Then the inside is so small and they literally jam-pack people into it. Iām surprised it was so busy with there barely being space to walk. We opted to sit outside because of COVID, it was very hot, it would have been nice if they can add some blowing air. My girlfriend got the croissant sandwich with an iced mocha and I got a veggie burrito with an orange juice ā both with house potatoes. To start, the house potatoes were so bland. They look seasoned as all can be, but just too soft and too bland. Next, The burrito I got I believe was a bit on the expensive side. $13 for a burrito with fries, the ones at Chipotle are bigger and cheaper and frankly more flavorful. The good part of that meal was once we ordered it came in less than 5 minutes! The salsas (sauces) were very much mediocre, orange was just spice no flavor and green barely tasted like anything. Now the worst part of my meal was the $4 āfresh orange juiceā. I know MinuteMade Orange Juice when I taste it. Marianos has pressed orange juice, a gallon for $4 freshly made. While this juice was about 12oz, bitter, and tasted terrible. My girlfriend liked her meal though, the croissant sandwich she was tasty and so was the mocha but she mentioned it is not really worth the price. One good point I want to me though is that the SERVICE was very very good. Nice employees, even though they were in a rush. I only gave it a 2 because of the employees, otherwise it would have been a 1 or 0 if even possible. For a croissant sandwich, mocha, burrito, and OJ it was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI decided to try out this restaurant to start the celebrations of my upcoming birthday this month. Myself and 4 other of my close friends always get together to celebrate our birthdays together and we like to try out different places... and living in the neighborhood, I thought that trying this place out was worth a shot. And I am so glad that we did! The pitchers - yes pitchers! - of mojitos were amazing! The appetizers and food were better than I ever anticipated... there was a lot of flavor on those plates.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because our waitress was a little pushy. A few of us - including myself - ended up coming in earlier than the other ones, and even though we ordered a pitcher and an appetizer BEFORE the other ladies showed up, the waitress kept asking us where the other guests were and if they were on their way. We continued to let her know that they were on their way and that WE were early - the place was NOT crowded for a Friday evening at that time when were there - she continued to pester us about our other friends. Even going as far as asking my friend to "pinky-swear" with her about our friends arriving by 7:30pm.
Besides that, I hope to be able to make it...
