This evening, at around 6:50 pm, I indulged in a delightful cinnamon roll coffee at this local establishment. The coffee itself was superb, and the service provided by the staff was exemplary. However, I couldn't help but notice an issue with the atmosphere that left me with some concerns.
During my visit, I interacted with a young girl who took my order. She was incredibly pleasant, and while I won't disclose any identifying information about her, I felt compelled to share a snippet of our conversation. Despite the chilly and damp conditions outside, with the temperature hovering around 40 degrees Fahrenheit and the wind blowing at a steady 13 mph (with gusts up to 29 mph), she greeted me with a warm smile. As we exchanged pleasantries, I couldn't help but notice that the only source of warmth available to her was a heater positioned several feet above her head.
When I inquired about her comfort, she admitted feeling quite cold, despite the heater's presence. Apparently, a closer heater had been stolen recently, leaving the staff without adequate warmth while they served customers outdoors. This revelation struck a chord with me, especially considering the inclement weather conditions.
On my way home, I passed by another branch of the same establishment and noticed a stark difference. The employees there were equipped with weatherproof jackets, presumably providing them with much-needed insulation against the elements. Regrettably, I hadn't observed similar attire being utilized at the location I had just visited.
While I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee, I couldn't shake off the discomfort caused by the realization that the staff, particularly those exposed to harsh weather conditions, weren't being adequately cared for. Unless measures are taken to ensure the well-being of employees working outdoors, I'm afraid I won't be able to justify returning to this particular location...
Read moreOk, barely open a month and I am 100% in love with 7 Brew Coffee. I know that the one on Shelbyville road has been open for a while, but that location isn't exactly close to home. This location, however, is about 2½ miles from home. That is VERY do-able.
If you're driving down Hurstbourne it's kinda hard to miss 7 Brew because there is some stylish blue neon that adorns the front of the building, making it hard to miss. I also understand that their building are pre-fabricated and delivered to site, making the time from start to finish infinitely shorter than other new builds.
I've been impressed by the speed of service on every visit I've made. There are 2 lines and a staff member takes your order on a tablet through you car window. Signing up for their loyalty program is as easy as giving them your phone number, and your points start adding up right away.
(Side note: Loyalty point values are double on Tuesdays!)
The 7 Brew menu is ENORMOUS. It may not look like it when you scan the QR code when you're in the line, but there's an entire universe of options available. They also have a "Secret Menu" (that really isn't) that you can chose from. You'll have to check online for that.
After placing your order and paying (you can hand them a credit card or you can tap with your smart phone), you move ahead to the next station where you wait for your drink. So far I haven't waited more then 3 minutes to get my beverage.
The staff has been GREAT. Everyone looks like they're having fun and that they're there because they want to be. Beyond the staff taking orders from the drive thru line there are probably another 6 or 8 staff members making drinks and delivering drinks.
I freaking LOVE 7 Brew! So much so that I don't frequent that other coffee place (that's primarily green) nearly as often. Try it. You'll love it, too or my name isn't Orville Redenbacher...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas excited about this location opening. However I believe training is lacking as one of the ladies working the crowded drive thru yesterday afternoon did not seem to know what she was doing. She was slow to take peopleās orders I was hoping we wouldnāt get her because after the other lady cleared the longer line she seemingly started bailing the other lady out In The shorter line we were in. She did not put lite ice in the order after I asked twice for her to and she used my free beverage on my rewards without asking me or acknowledging I had it. She not only did this but took my buy one get one free coupon that I just received to use at the new location. Seven brew is delicious but can be pricey so the rewards I earn are important to me. I really hope training improves. We will probably take a break from seven brew...
