My family and I tried this place out for dinner last night as well as lunch again today, and both times the food turned out amazing! Of course I forgot to take pictures, but I'll update that when I go back. It was pretty empty both times when we went. Maybe a couple other guests. Yesterday we first ordered the Papadi Chaat, aloo tikki chaat, medu vada, and pani puri. My family loved all of them. I think the paani puri red chutney should have had more of a tangy taste to it, but it was okay. The papadi Chaat was phenomenal! Highly recommend it. The papadi were lightly crispy, which was a pleasant surprise in the chaat. The medu vada also had the perfect lightly crispy texture and sambar was on point!

My husband joined us a bit later, so we ordered samosa chaat (I was supposed to order another aloo tikki chaat but accidentally said samosa chaat) and another medu vada. The waiter verbally confirmed that all their meat is zabiha halal (can the owner please confirm this?), so we also got the chicken Tikka pizza. The waiter politely let us know that the pizza would take 35 min to make and made sure we were okay to wait that long. We also got another papadi chaat and aloo tikki chaat to go for my brother's at home.

I was so impressed that we didn't feel rushed or pressured to leave even though it was near closing time. We took some ice cream to go, and I loved my rose flavored on forsure!

When we went back again today, we had planned to get the 4 foot dosa, but we were sadly i firmed that they're not making it for some reason. I'm not sure why though. We weren't given a reason. Not sure if it's just for today, or the time we went or if they don't make it at all despite the fact that it's on their menu. Anyway, we ended up getting a masala Dosa, a keerai cheesy garlic dosa, and medu vada (again). The masala Dosa was the best we've tasted in the area (Dakshin's butter masala Dosa was our favorite till now). The keerai dosa has too much spinach. I think it should have had some more zest or something else in it to cut the spinach taste. It was still okay. And of course, the vadas were as good as yesterday.

Definitely going back! Glad it's...

I had the pleasure of dining at a Sankalp restaurant last week, and I must say it was one of the most amazing meals I have ever had. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of fantastic.

First of all, the ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. It was cozy and inviting, with soft lighting and comfortable seating. The decor was tasteful and classy, and the overall atmosphere was very relaxing and we felt at home, in India.

Now, on to the food! The menu was vast and offered a lot of variety of South Indian and North Indian food. The dishes were authentic and flavorful, and the portions were just right. I especially loved the appetizers – the samosas were crispy and filled with delicious stuffing, and the pakoras were crispy and spicy, just the way I like them. Mysore Masala Dosa you was amazing, never had idlis so soft and fluffy. The Sambar and variety of chutneys, we’re out of the world.

For my main course, I opted for the chicken tikka masala and it was just perfect - succulent pieces of chicken in a creamy tomato-based sauce, flavoured with aromatic spices. It was served with fluffy, buttery naan bread, and I enjoyed every bite.

The service was on point too - our server was very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The owner also stopped by our table to check on us, which was a nice touch.

Overall, I would highly recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone in search of delicious food and excellent service. I will...

They over charge without telling you. Receipt attached. Added $19 to my card without telling me or without my approval. Refused to refund this "service charge" they gave me no verbal notice nor it is written anywhere on the menu that they will charge you extra 15% without telling you. you don't find out they charged you until the receipt prints out and by that point it's too late to say anything because they already ran your credit card. I will be telling everyone, all of my friends, coworkers and family to never go to this place again. PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS.

Edit - Owner responded with some useless information. I have no issue with service charge as long as I am being told upfront about it. You never verbally told me nor could produce any documents stating you charge this fee. I did not know about this service fee until you had already ran my card and the receipt printed out. You are taking advantage of people who normally don't look at receipts by not being upfront about this fee and charging their card without approval. Your attitude also did not help when I questioned you about this hidden fee. Your response that everyone charges this fee is not valid because other business are upfront about it and dont just add the fee without any warning. I used to eat at your restaurant multiple times a month. I have been there 3 times just this month but I will never be back at your restaurant nor will...

A perfect stopover if traveling from Chicago and going to Tennessee. We had planned our stop over for our trip to Gatlinburg thinking there was a Honest Restaurant but to our surprise found out that they had started this new restaurant in its place a couple of weeks ago. The food was delicious hence we stopped over on our way back to Chicago as well. We had dinner the first time and ordered Punjabi food, the curry and the rotis were delicious and served piping hot. A couple opposite our table had ordered Hyderabadi Dum Biryani and it piqued my son’s interest as it was made in an authentic style. And nor the plating or the taste disappointed us. There was whole masala and gravy with veggies and basmati rice. The entire meal was scrumptious. For our way back it was lunch time and given the vast menu and umpteen choices we decided to switch it and try Dosa and Idli. The paper Masala Dosa was served with Sambhar, Green Coconut Chutney, Coconut Chutney, Garlic Chutney and the Masala on side. The Dosa was crisp, buttery and delicious. The sides served with the Dosa was equally tasty but the Dosa by itself was drool worthy. Mini idli and Medu wada, was okay, have had better at other restaurants. While paying up we spoke to the owner and he shared he was from Skokie and I urged him to open a Sankalp in Chicago as well.
