So, where to begin.... I visited on 7/19/17 at 7:30pm. I was taking my mother out to dinner to introduce her to my new girlfriend. Shogun ruined the night. -At most Hibachi places if you wait for so long they start cooking regardless as to whether the table is full of not. Not here. We waited OVER AN HOUR till enough people showed-up to fill the table. -After an hour of waiting the chef discovered nobody had turned-on the grill, so we were told to pick-up our drinks and move to another table where we waiting another 15 minutes for the luke-warm grill to reach full temperature. -I asked for coke. The hostess brought me diet coke. When I asked her to correct it she said "you have coke" and walked away. The people I was with tasted it and confirmed it was diet coke, not the coke I asked for. -The waitress knocked-over my girlfriend's wine while it was still 1/4 full. No replacement was offered and I was charged for it. -The waitress spilled diet coke (not the coke I asked for) on me while refilling my glass. No assistance of apology was offered. -My girlfriend asked the chef to prepare her vegetables without onions. He said "I will try". Based on what he served her I think he tried to do the exact opposite of what she asked. -I asked for 3 to-go boxes. The hostess gave me 2. When I asked for an additional one she walked away and never gave me an additional one. -I usually tip VERY well (~25%) for good service. Because of the extremely poor service and poor attitude I gave a small tip. THE HOSTESS HAD THE AUDACITY TO CONFRONT ME AND DEMANDED I INCREASE THE TIP! I was aghast! She aggressively entered my personal space and behaved in a physically aggressive manor. Very un-civilized and dare I say even criminal in nature! -We all got sick from the food!!!! It tasted horrible going down, and even worse coming back up later that night.
Owners: Fire the hostess that was on...
Read moreI wish I could give zero stars. It was that bad. This used to be our favorite local place for sushi and hibachi food but after our last visit we will never go back. Evidently it has new owners who understand neither English nor Japanese. We always eat in the dining room, not at a hibachi table. We've seen the show, we just want food. The "host" sat us in the dining area and there were only 2 other occupied tables. This should have been our first clue, since it was 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night. A woman, not dressed at all like someone who is paid to wait tables (no uniform, no apron, just everyday casual clothes) asked us what we were drinking; we both ordered iced tea. 35 minutes later she came by to take our order, which she could not understand, and could not guarantee we would get. She kept saying "I don't know" to everything we asked. After a total of 45-minutes in the restaurant with no salad, so soup, and no sushi, she brought the food for the table behind us and theirs was all wrong. We could hear them "negotiating" with her to get what they ordered. She brought two salads and two soups and set them on the edge of our table (not in front of us) and walked away before we could ask about our sushi. These were soups and salads she originally set on the wrong table, mind you, and re-po'd for us. (GROSS!) Our teas were not refilled. After an hour in the restaurant the other two tables got food but we did not. No one stopped to check on us or to tell they were working on it or anything. Had they done so we would have asked for a bill for the salads, soups and teas. Instead, we stood up, walked out and went across the street to another restaurant where we were promptly seated, fed, and thanked for...
Read moreThey are great!cheaper then saki blue and hardly ever a wait. Also you will save big if you choose to eat there before 4 or 5 p.m. I had the teriyaki chicken and fried rice which also includes their hibachi veggies(onions, zucchini squash, mushrooms and water chestnuts) ,a salad with their signature dressing and their signature soup.I had all of that while enjoying a fun and entertaining experience of watching our personal habatchi chef prepare our tables meals. The chefs here are extremely talented and skilled at their job.If you have never been to a habatchi style resturaunt then you are in for a meal like no other. You dont come to this place just to eat,it is an experience that will be a forever memory for any first time guest.Agreat place for a first date.Dinner and a show. Also it isnt too romantic because it forces the guest to be social and interactive. If your party doesn't fill al/mostl seats at the table then they pair you up with enough parties until all 8 or 10 seats are filled. You will see a union valcano maybe you or someone may catch a flying shrimp in your mouth or the chef may catch it in his huge bowled hat or see many other skilled tricks. Also fun for birthdays and other occassions. You can either dress nice in a dress for ladies and suit for men or you can come in khakis for men to even Jean's same for women.Dress up or down, both are appropriate however I would recommend leaving the sweat pants and cut off tee shirts for some other place like the park and food...
