Bearno's Pizza — Restaurant in Jeffersontown

Bearnos pizza is a family favorite in our home! While taking care of an elderly friend in hospice, she decided she would love a cheese pizza. Our favorite cheese pizza is Bearnos so I ordered her a cheese pizza, she was so excited. Unfortunately, the pizza was an epic fail because it was overcooked. I called, shared the situation with the kindest young lady who answered the phone. She was apologetic And told me she would have a new cheese pizza prepared and hand-deliver it to us. My friend and I were thrilled Even though it was going to be 2 1/2 hours past when the original order was placed. The young lady arrived with a fresh hot pizza that was also overcooked!! I was embarrassed and disappointed to tell my friend who had waited so long for dinner that the pizza she was anticipating, was also extremely overcooked. She was unable to eat either pizza. It was so late in the evening and she needed to eat, she only wanted a piece of toast. Bearnos on Taylorsville Road you disappointed, and let a very special lady down. For years, we’ve ordered from Bearnos on Preston, in Fern Creek, and Bowman Field locations never once had such a negative experience. We like Bearno's but had never tried the Jtown location. We tried it for delivery. Ordered a large pizza and a house salad online at 5:47 pm on a Sunday. Said delivery would be approximate 1 hour and 15 minutes so should arrive by 7:01 pm. At 7:14 we called the store where we were told that ordering online isn't always the best way and we should call to place a delivery order. Our order was ready but hadn't left the store yet. It would be the next delivery. At 7:31, the driver arrived with an ice cold, burnt around the edges pizza and no salad. He went back to the store to get the salad. We called and spoke to the manager. She said it should never have taken almost 2 hrs for delivery and the pizza should not have been sent out with burnt edges. She also apologized for the forgotten salad. She refunded our $33 which was crazy for a house salad and a cold pizza that looked worse than frozen pizzas from Walmart. She then offered to send a new pizza at half price but it would be awhile before we would get it. Just told her to refund our money and keep their salad. She did. A little while later, the driver came with the house salad anyway. It smelled like a sour towel and was not edible. Will never go there again. Very disappointed and definitely...

We had a birthday party here. 10 of us. The staff was wonderfully helpful, cooperative and accommodating. We eat a lot of Bearnos pizza and this pizza was undercooked the dough was very doughy... Our guests enjoyed it just okay...The biggest drawback was the beer wall... it is impossible to keep track of how many ounces you're really getting served and drinking and paying for... I believe we were considerably overcharged and they don't bleed the lines so you're paying for stale beer that either goes into the trough or goes into your glass. I felt sick afterwards and more so this morning. I believe it was the beer, Much of it did taste stale or it had been sitting in the lines. Unless you're drinking a beer that gets served a lot from those 30 something beers available or you try something different or not as overly popular.... you going to get and pay for stale beer. Nice place, great outdoor area out front, again great staff, undercooked pizza, overall...
