This particular McDonald's is notorious for leaving something out of your order and I learned to live with it. The only thing you get resolved when you call and complain is:... The next time that you're up here just ask for me and I'll make sure that what was missing is replaced.
Today something happened that caused me to decided never to return to this location.
When I pulled to the window to get my food a young female African-American handed it out to me. While the window was still open, I simply said "Could I get a cup of ice, please." She never responded back and just closed the window. I knew that she had heard me because she was looking right at me as I asked.
I waited a minimum of five minutes as I watched her just stand at the window with her side facing me. After a while I realized that she was deliberately doing it and hoping that I'd drive off in frustration.
The line behind me kept growing and finally she ripped that window open as hard and she could and said "Next time we charge."
I drove off and once home I called to make a complaint. As soon as I had told what had happened, the manager, without asking if I had a name or description said, "I'm going to have a talk with her because she does have an attitude." The only thing I'm thinking is; You're aware of this and you allow her to work the drive-thru?
Needless to say that I'll never be back and I didn't use the ice. I can only imagine what went in it as her side was...
Read moreWe have a joke in our house about this McDonald's that 90% of the time they will forget something that we ordered and it's the truth. It's become so bad that we always check our bags before leaving because there's most generally something left out that we paid for or asked for and didn't receive. I don't like to leave reviews that aren't stellar, but this McDonald's has got to step up their game and double-check their orders before handing them out the window.
Another complaint is that the younger people need to be taught to greet their customers and actually speak to them instead of just putting out their hand for our payment and shutting the window. Occasionally there will be a young adult or teen worker who will be friendly, but not often. I get that customers can be rude a lot nowadays, but I am always nice, ask them how they are (if they give me a chance), thank them and tell them to have a great day or tell them how much I appreciate them for working so hard, regardless of whether they've been nice to me or not.
And yes, my review is just about the service rather than the food because it's McDonald's and their food is, well, it's just...
Read moreThis place is closest to me and is really busy for the area. Been going here for 10 years and it's just has some of the worst customer service. Not hating on everyone there because sometimes I get a rare awesome employee but I've even had awful issues with the managers here, orders are almost always wrong. I've had to go inside to get things corrected from a drive thru order when I'm on a time crunch more times than I'd like. I've been going to the Blankenbaker location more lately and there's a huge difference! This place is just not managed properly! I've witnessed that a McDonald's can be ran properly and have great customer service. And it's not from this location. Someone really should retrain these employees and some of the managers. Thankfully there's a newer manager I've noticed in the last few months and when he's there things are wonderful. He's great so hopefully they've noticed and have gotten better staff or will in the future. And train people no matter the age. Some of the young teens are nicer than the...
