I'm not generally one to update and lower my rating on a business, but Scooter's Coffee....oh, my.
Scooters is the closest coffee place to home, coming in at a little less than a half mile. It's convenient and generally pretty fast. In the last couple months, however, it's starting to lose its luster.
To somewhat enumerate the issues I've encountered:
Three or four times I've tried to order on the app, only to have experienced either "there was a problem" or something similar.
Three times I've tried to order my favorite item (spicy sausage breakfast burrito), only to be advised that they're out of stock. Twice via the app and once when I was in the drive-thru lane. Since it was the only thing I wanted to order and decided to not order anything else I was trapped in the drive-thru (there is no exit option) and had to wait while all the cars in front of me got their orders.
On one occasion I ordered a Large Caramelicious on a Friday. The Caramelicious is, according to their website, "Buttery smooth caramel sauce, frothy hot milk, and our world-class espresso combine for a fabulous flavor, and we top our signature drink with fluffy whipped cream drizzled with more caramel." The Caramelicious, when made correctly comes in a cup with a domed lid to accommodate the whip and the caramel drizzle. That is not what I got. Instead I got a Caramelicious MINUS the whip and caramel drizzle (photo attached).
I filled out the Feedback section of the app because trying to call the store twice in the next two hours resulted in the phone not being answered. Surprisingly I heard back from Scooters corporate with a $10 credit to my loyalty account (thank you) and said "We are connecting with the manager and team to make sure they are making the drinks accurately before handing out to the customer. ". (Keep this in mind).
The very next Thursday I stopped in again and order the same thing again (Large Caramelicious) and it came (get this), Without The Caramel Drizzle.....again. (photo attached)
I should point out that I filled out the Feedback section for this visit as well, but got no response at all.
So let me get this straight. You apologize and pointedly say that you'll reach out to the store to make sure they're handing out the product correctly...and the very next visit it's almost exactly the same degree of WRONG again.
Being out of products as often as they are (caramel drizzle, whipped topping, spicy sausage burritos) makes me wonder who manages the stock on hand.
Lastly, this location has only been open about a year. This is their most recent inspection...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy local scooters in J-town is great and have amazing customer service. I can't say enough great things about them. They are 5 stars for sure. However the scooters corporate customer service is a joke, 0 stars if that were possible. I contacted them because I never received the $5.00 reward for purchasing 4 drinks over $5.00 in five days. I actually had 5 drinks in 3 days and on one of those days I had two separate orders that were 47 min apart and one with two drinks. Well corporate informed me that this doesn't count, they must be 60 min apart. They didn't even offer to fix this or anything just basically said read the fine print, they have to be 60 min apart. I've never had this type of issue with any other competitors corporate customer service. I know it's only $5.00 but it's the moral and the fact that they obviously don't care about the customers that keep them afloat. If it weren't for the employees at the J-Town location I wouldn't spend my money with scooters again. It's obvious that corporate doesn't care about the little people, us customers. But because my local branch is so wonderful and the employees are great I will still visit there. At least they know how to treat customers and care about them,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is in particular for the a.m. weekday shift. Can you say rude? I go to Scooters every day. I visit different locations depending on where my day takes me. But, this Scooters is closest to the home I just moved to. I've went many times in the afternoon and always got great coffee and even better customer service. Yesterday, I went for the first time in the a.m. and the coffee was horrible. I took the loss and decided to try again this morning. Same outcome. I wasn't letting it slide today. I told them that the coffee was way too strong and not sweet at all. The cashier automatically twisted her face and immediately became rude and offensive. She closed the window and they all started to laugh and be generally rude. They gave me a second coffee and I was so infuriated that I had to drive away. They literally gave me a lukewarm cup of cream doused in caramel syrup! Definitely won't be returning...Starbucks is...
