First time going to Mick's lounge. I was told they had Karaoke nights on Fridays so we decided we would call to make sure that they would be willing to turn down their strobe lights so I could sing because I have medical conditions that cause me to get real bad vertigo, dizzy and migraine headaches with strobe lights flashing while I sing and the guy said yes on the phone but when we got there it was a different story they refused after we had already ordered our food and paid in advance for it so I tried to not look at the lights but they were everywhere so after almost falling while trying to sing with my eyes closed we had to leave. That was bad enough but when my mom and I went to use the ladies room we realized that women's room was a tiny room you had to go into right beside the kitchen door that definitely wasn't meant for someone with a cane or rollater walker it barely had enough room for any woman! I have been singing for over 30 years and I have never seen a place that said they could turn off than refuse when you decide to attend the Karaoke. I truly hope that no one they love never has to experience a disability that they would need someone to make an accommodation for and be treated the way...
Read moreHonestly I wouldn’t recommend this bar. In the condition its in they would do better if they had bartenders who were more polite and didn’t drink on the job drinking on the job is a proven factor in bars that fail. The bartender said her parents owned the bar and she felt very entitled and was very rude and I highly believe alcohol played a huge factor with all the shots she took during my visit . The bartender was extremely hostile over everything I said I don’t know if it was because I’m black or what but it really made me uncomfortable. The owner should really think about who they let run the bar and yes I had one complaint that I directly told her about & that is a opportunity to make things right not turn the music off and become confrontational. This is a very candid review and I hope it help someone else make a better decision on where they take...
Read moreI do love this bar. I used to go every payday when I worked 3rd shift and played pool with my coworkers in the morning. I met up with one of those old coworkers tonight to play pool but was disappointed when they decided to close off the back room at 12:30 (on a Friday night!). The back room houses the dart board and two of the three pool tables. The only pool table left open after the back room was closed had been taken over by a group of guys who brought their own sticks and had been using the table the whole time we were there. We were peacefully playing pool, weren't drunk, and weren't making any mess. There's no reason we shouldn't have been able to continue playing all the way to closing time. I won't be going back unless it's midday with no worries of...
