Orchid Garden — Restaurant in Jena

As we all know, Orchid Garden has been closed for 5 or 6 weeks. So a lot of folks showed up for lunch today. All of the food was cooked to perfection. Extremely tasty - everything I sampled. The cheese mushrooms were delicious. The egg drop soup was fantastic. I wondered if there is a new cook?

Our waitress was new to America and spoke very little English; but she kept our glasses filled and was helpful, regardless. The cashier took a minute to update us on a to-go order we placed after lunch. She has moved here from Pittsburgh and we discussed differences in weather. She was absolutely delightful to chat with.

Just moved into the area and checking out what options were available. This little place was a nice surprise. The food was good, and warm, with a somewhat limited selection but what was there was excellent. One hour before closing and place was empty, the buffet all to ourselves,and amazingly buffet was stocked,and still tasted fresh and a lot varieties to chose from,after we showed up few more came in and seemed just as satisfied,and staff no matter what time was still greeted new customers fir dinner,abd no one was nor felt rushed to eat and go by 9pm closing time,I believe was...
