Rick's Pizza — Restaurant in Jena

I am not too big on pizza with red Italian sauce so we hardly ever go to pizza restaurants. Well let me tell you, folks, this place is awesome. The selection they have is really big. If you try anything it ABSOLUTELY has to be the B.L.T. pizza sandwich. Mr. Rick (the owner) gets there and makes his dough from scratch every morning at 4 am. This is no ordinary plain pizza dough, not sure how he does it but I can say it's his special product. The food was above and beyond what I expected and Mr. Rick is by far one of the most friendly and down-to-earth business owners you will ever meet. He was checking on us regularly (along with all of the other customers) and talked to us like we had known him for years. The place is decorated so nice, rustic, and country. I loved the whole experience, so so glad we stopped in because we will be back for that lunch buffet soon. Mr. Rick thank you for making us feel like we were at home, the great conversation, the great food, and can't leave out the wonderful cheesecake. The moment you walk in, it feels like you're immediately welcome. Not just an automated hi or how are you doing like some places, but a real Hi, how are you?. Service was fantastic and the food, was just fresh as possibly could be and it'll leave you craving for a nap afterwards.

There are a ton of places that treat you good but when it comes to making you feeling like home, well that's just another amazing experience! They treated our kids like their own and even made sure they had pizza sauce for their cheese sticks.

It's a family ran business that treats you with the highest respect with delicious food. Trust me, you'll be missing out if you don't give them a try!

If i could give this place more than 5 stars i would!! Service was spectacular, atmosphere was amazing from the music, to the decorations to the prices of the food! The food was phenomenal! Especially the BLT! It is a family traditional recipe and amazing at that!! Mr Rick personally came out to our table with a smile on his face just to greet us because it was our first time in! Today is my 30th birthday and i wanted pizza! So we went to Ricks pizza and it was the best decision for a birthday dinner with my husband!
