Nick, the owner of New Bergen Bread & Butter refuses to accept Amazon packages for neighbors as a simple courtesy, despite our apartment being right next door.
For two years, I’ve been a friendly customer, but Nick demands $150 a year to hold packages—something most local businesses do for free to build goodwill. This isn’t even part of their official deli operations, but it’s a basic neighborly gesture he’s turned into a cash grab. His attitude is off-putting, and it’s clear he doesn’t value community or customer loyalty. I’d happily support the deli if he showed basic decency, but instead, he chooses to be unhelpful and greedy. On top of that, the food, the service, and the atmosphere are mediocre at best , Nick’s behavior leaves a bad taste all around.
