Super Hero Sub Shop — Restaurant in Jersey City

The best sub I’ve had for as long as I could remember! I’m literally at Lincoln Park eating one right now and you need to do the same too! Made my own w/ salami & pretty much added everything on it.

Small husband & wife owned local business with personality, kindness, and a sense of community. They know so many of their regulars and I’m most definitely becoming one too!

The shop itself is also really cute, can eat inside w/ few seats facing the windows + offers outdoor seating. They also cater so whenever you have your family outings, esp. at the park across the street, give them a call!

If you’re not from the immediate area, this place is still worthy a drive, a stop, a detour, you name it!

Had a go to spot while I was in college but that was 2016. 5 years later, I can’t believe I finally found my new go to!!

Just ordered for the first time after seeing some amazing photos online of the subs. I bought four large subs and so far the Italian sub has VERY LITTLE MEAT and the tuna is hardly mixed in with the mayonnaise on the Tuna sub. Very disappointed :( Would have loved to have made this my go to sub place. Editing this to add that the Roast Beef sub was almost empty of beef and cheese. They are ALL BREAD!!! Update: Super appreciate the owners swift and positive response below and will ABSOLUTELY give this place another try. Very strange experience. The woman behind the counter making the sandwiches…didn’t know how to make sandwiches? I kind of feel bad but this was wild. My friend and I ordered a turkey bacon club and a hot honey chicken sandwich - every step of the process she asked us what we wanted. The ingredients are on the menu. She asked if my friend wanted mayo on his hot honey chicken sandwich. I didn’t get bacon. And he didn’t get hot honey. The line kept growing behind us, prime lunch time.
