The normal Chinese food restaurant we order from is closed on Tuesdays. So it being Tuesday when we decided to order from here and we regretted it greatly. I was initially going to give the place two stars, but after the thought that speed and price doesn't make up for inedible food, but quickly delivering refuse doesn't meet standard quality, hence one star instead of zero for the steam rice. The food was five dollars less than my normal restaurant, but I'll explain why that five dollars is worth paying. We ordered a small Wonton Soup, Cashew Chicken, Vegetable Fried Rice, Steam rice with the Cashew Chicken, an extra Steam rice, and a 4 Oz cup sweet and sour sauce on the side (which costed an extra dollar.)
The soup was inedible. It didn't taste good and was room temperature when we got it. On Google maps the restaurant was roughly 2 miles from our home, so there was no reason for the food being room temperature. We had to microwave all of our food before eating as it was all room temperature upon delivery. We did not want food poisoning so we aggressively heated it up. The Cashew Chicken had more celery than Chicken. The sauce tasted like moo goo gai pan sauce with soy sauce added. The carrot squares were very hard and I hurt my mouth on them because of how undercooked they were. The fried rice was not that great. In fact it had onions and celery in it as well as 4 raw broccoli sprouts that didn't soften up even after nuking. The fried rice had some hard rice in it, too, prior to microwaving. The vegetable fried rice didn't have a good assortment of vegetables. The celery absolutely ruined the meal completely. Not only do I dislike celery, but this restaurant uses it way too liberally in their food. Cashews were not cooked and just sprinkled on the room temperature chicken.
I have eaten Chinese food my entire life from a variety of restaurants. All kinds of Asian food, at that. I have never had any kind of Asian food, even the worst microwavable be as awful as Imperial Hunan.
This place is cancer... or a week vomiting with stomach problems. Stay away! Far away!
Suggestion for restaurant : Please source food from proper suppliers, not your neighbors' dumpsters! Cook each ingredient of food. Customer should not have to request food be cooked when eating Chinese Food - this is not Japanese nor Sushi....
Read moreI ordered me some food last night close to closing time. I ordered house special chow mein noodles and large wonton soup. When I picked it up it wasn't right. It was full of onions😭 but the guy said I ordered extra onions. So it was just a misunderstanding. He had just made a precious big order so I just took it home like that. When I got home to eat it it was SOOOOO many onions it was hard to try and eat it so it was basically money wasted. Then the won ton soup had maybe 2 wontons in it and the rest was juice. I was furious!! So after I got off work today I called to speak to manager. The manager Marcus happened to be the same person I dealt with last night not knowing he was the manager. So I explain my issue to him about my original order. So he said he would make it over for me for free!! So I went to pick it up after work and he hooked me up all the way around. I was sooo happy he fixed my order correctly. I just wanna give a big props to Marcus for understanding and not having any issues and going above and beyond to get my order remade!! He even gave me a free cherry coke and a juice and told me next time I come he got me!! I will be going back for sure because the food was awesome and he went above and beyond my expectations!!! Kudos to u Marcus!! Thanks for...
Read moreWhat happened? There has definitely been a change in management. This was a nice little family restaurant with amazing food and prices, cooked with love.
Now it's a bad experience best avoided.
I could call, order in 2 minutes, and have my food in hand within 10 minutes.
I haven't been back in three months or so, I finally ordered today, I was instantly put on hold with someone who sounded like they were in a call center. After 4 minutes on hold and no response, the line disconnected.
I called back, same person, had to go through an agonizing process that took 5 minutes just to order fried rice. I've worked customer service, I was blown away by how bad this experience was.
She told me it would be ready in 25 minutes. It used to take 5 minutes.
Oh to top it off? The food sucks now. I'm not exaggerating, the rice has no colour, the pork in the rice looked like dollar store cubed meat that didn't even taste cooked. There's also noticeably less meat.
They can't even properly prepare their vegetables, the green onion stems were left in the food leaving you with a terrible bitter taste.
