Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Jersey Village

I was introduced to Jersey Mikes via take out to the office in which I work, and I have found the sandwiches tasty, so decided to take my daughters there. The gentleman behind the counter had broken down completely what looked to be a display case of some kind (not sure, never been there before). and was behind the counter slicing things on a slicer in what I assumed was prep work. For this reason, we could not tell if he was a prep cook or if he was to take our order and sort of stood there uncomfortably trying to order while he was slicing deli meats/cheeses.

We began to feel badly that we had obviously come in at closing only to discover by the times posted on the doors, that closing time was not for almost 2 more hours. The young man slicing did also take our order but when we asked for meatball and chicken parmesan sandwiches, he stated that they had just put away the tomato sauce for those and so could not make them. Clarifying that the sauce would be cold by now. Next we asked for the new California Club instead, which is enticingly advertised, and he sadly could not make that either....no avocado.

Overall, the sandwiches were average.Not bad really. My teen daughters say a 5 out of 10. I would say for the price (which was $29.00 and some change) for a regular sized tuna, club, and angus beef, 3 bags of chips and 2 drinks, I don't see that we will be going back there.

Perhaps it was just an off-night and I hate to not give a new place the benefit of the doubt, but Panera and even Subway rarely disappoint, so when hankering again for a sandwich, we are likely to choose...

I have no problem with the food but the staff on hand are horrible. They made a mistake with my sandwich they gave me wheat instead of white. I don't eat wheat so I asked them to remake it. The manager on duty then told me he will not remake it because I took a bite out of it. At this time it's lunch hour and I was starving. I took a bite without looking at the sandwich. He goes on to tell me that if I didn't take a bite out of it. He could of sold it to another customer. Witch is disgusting because I picked up the sandwiched and touched it and he wanted to sell it to someone else. How gross it that. I ask him are you serious. You would give my sandwich to another customer ? He replies with well yeah. That or I'd eat it myself. Like what the hell is wrong with this guy. He would only fix a mistake if it benefited himself. I will not return to this location because of that. That's disgusting. Who knows you could walk In here and get someone's leftover sandwich that they have touched with there hands and...

If I could get this place 10 Stars I would. The service, the quality of the food, the freshness and how you're in and out in less than 10 minutes...makes this my favorite sandwich shop. I've tried Firehouse subs, I've tried Subway, Mom and Pop sandwich places and nothing beats this location at Jersey Mike's. The employees working there are amazing. They remember me, when I order online & when I order in person. Today I was shown what top notch customer service is in the food industry. I accidentally said I wanted a number nine, with roast beef instead of a number eight which is my usual go to order. Miss Nicky behind the counter, says " Iman this isn't your usual order". I explained to her that I made a mistake and said the wrong number and she immediately made me the right sandwich that I wanted. After they had already sliced it for a number 8... She made sure I got what I wanted. I will never go anywhere else...
