Biff’s Banh Mi & Pho — Restaurant in Jersey Village

If you love banh mi or bo ne, you'll love Biff's, too.

This adorable Vietnamese café has a decently large menu. We've been twice so far, have ordered several dishes and banh mi and bo ne are the standouts so far.

The baguette bread is the ideal combo of a crispy outside with a pillowy inside. This same bread is used for both the banh mi sandwiches and the bo ne.

For those unfamiliar with bo ne (I only discovered it about a year ago), it's kind of like a plate of fajitas. It's typically cubed beef, onions and a fried egg served sizzling on a cast-iron platter with a wooden base and topped with chopped green onions and cilantro. It's served with a baguette and the housemade pâté and mayo on the side, so you can build your bites however you like.

They make their pâté and mayo in-house, and let me tell you, they are not to be missed!

Let me also tell you that I have a huge mayo aversion. Typically, it gives me the ice. But not at Biff's. I think it's the housemade freshness of it that does the trick, but whatever it is, it just works.

Their pâté is also housemade and creamy and smooth and rich and deep and velvety.

We have also enjoyed the spring rolls and the specialty drinks.

Their bubble waffle is also a treat in appearance, texture and taste.

They have a seat-yourself dining room with sauces and utensils on the table.

The employees could not be more welcoming. My favorite person is an avuncular guy (like a fun uncle). He absolutely beams with joy, is funny and very clearly loves the guests.

The interior is clean and modern with friendly pops of color. The lady's facility is also clean and well stocked with hand soap, paper towels and plenty of TP.

We decided to try Biff’s Banh Mi & Pho after a massage appointment nearby, as it was conveniently located. From the moment we walked in, the experience was great. The server greeted my boyfriend and me warmly and provided excellent customer service throughout our visit, regularly checking in on us. The establishment was also very clean, which is always a good sign.

For food, we started with the beef banh mi. The flavor was spot on, but I wish it had a little more meat to make it even more satisfying. We also tried the shaken beef with rice, which was absolutely delicious. The beef was tender, perfectly cooked, and savory, and the addition of sautéed broccoli was a unique touch that I really enjoyed. Next time, I plan to add a fried egg to the dish for an extra layer of flavor.

My boyfriend ordered the Vietnamese coffee, and it was just as good as you’d expect, with the added bonus of a large size option, which was a pleasant surprise.

We ended our meal with the pandan waffle, which was hands-down the highlight of our visit. It’s rare to find a place nearby that serves pandan waffles—usually, we’d have to head to Bellaire—so this was a real treat. The waffle had a wonderfully chewy, mochi-like texture, wasn’t overly sweet, and was incredibly satisfying.

Overall, Biff’s Banh Mi & Pho delivered authentic flavors, a clean and welcoming environment, and friendly service. It’s a relatively new restaurant, but we’re excited to return and explore more of their menu. Definitely a spot worth supporting if you’re...

Biff's Banh Mi & Pho is a hidden gem! We ordered pho with a side of oxtail, and it was a game-changer. The oxtail was perfectly tender, and the pho broth brought back memories of our favorite spot, Pho Nguyen, which we thought no one could rival—until now!

The owner was incredibly welcoming and even gave us complimentary spring rolls with their homemade nuoc cham. The nuoc cham was so flavorful that it reminded my husband of enjoying it with clams as a child. Such a nostalgic and delicious touch!

In addition to their fantastic food, they also offer party tray catering, which we’ll definitely consider for future events. The restaurant has only been open for 5 months, and while they’re bustling during the lunch rush, the evenings are quieter—perfect for a more relaxed dining experience.
