Hashtag India is a simple yet fantastic place for indian food. We had heard raving reviews of this place from many ppl and finally visited it yesterday. I reached there at 10:20pm just to find a huge amount of people waiting outside. Once inside we asked for a Mandi booth. Mandi booth are private closed spaces where you can enjoy the food without the interference of crowd around you. We ordered Chicken Mandi, Paneer Mandi, poori bhaji, few mango lassi and butter milk. The food was absolutely delicious. The Mandi was definitely the highlight of the meal. The rice and chicken was absolutely delicious with some crunchy onion and fried dry fruits. An absolutely fantastic presentation that is so so very yummy. The chicken was perctly cooked, tender and delicious. Paneer Mandi was a surprise package, it was so delicious and comes with generous portion of paneer. The portion size is very good. One single Mandi is sufficient for about 2 average people. I would highly recommend having any of their Mandi. Both the paneer as well as chicken Mandi were absolutely fantastic. They also have the best buttermilk I have had in and around atlanta area. But having Mandi in the booth is not just about the flavors it's about the experience. A cozy sitting arrangement that you enjoy with your friends and family. It has its own special service the attendant/server take special care of you and get you any stuff you need and you feel overwhelmed with the kind and attentive service. Jai the person who attended us was very nice and attentive and made our experience really worth it. So was the other person who served us the food, unfortunately I forgot to get his name. I am very sure I am going to be a frequent visitor to this place. And other great highlight about this place is that it is open till midnight and we were the last ppl.to leave the place at almost 12am. P.s. I am looking forward to their breakfast...
Read moreI had mixed experiences at Hashtag India Restaurant. During my first visit, the food was quite good, which initially gave me high hopes for this place. However, my second visit painted a different picture.
The overall food quality seemed to have declined. We ordered their “Mandi,” which is served with a leg quarter and gravy. Unfortunately, the leg quarter was extremely tough—hard to chew and even harder to bite into, which made it quite disappointing. On a better note, we also tried their gravy chicken with garlic naan, which was flavorful and well-prepared.
What really impacted the experience was the poor customer service and questionable hygiene. The service was very slow, and the staff appeared visibly overworked and tired. It seemed like they were struggling to keep up with the basic expectations of customer care.
One particular concern I had was the transaction-first attitude—even when asking simple questions or clarifications, the staff insisted on payment first before providing details. This approach left a bad impression and made the overall atmosphere feel transactional rather than welcoming.
In summary: • ✅ Gravy chicken & garlic naan were good • ❌ Mandi leg quarter was too tough • ❌ Service was slow and staff looked exhausted • ❌ Hygiene and customer interaction were below expectations • ❌ Quality appears to be declining on repeat visits
I really hope the management takes note and works on improving both food consistency and customer service, because the potential is there—but the current experience is...

The ambience is decent, with interesting seating options like floor cabins for Mandi and even a jail-themed cabin. However, a major issue is the footwear arrangement. Since shoes need to be removed for Mandi seating, they are left right beside the tables, which is uncomfortable and unhygienic—especially in summer when odors can be strong. I recommend the management provide closed shoe racks to keep the space clean and pleasant.
We tried: • Paneer Kheema Dosa • Ghee Podi Idly • Mango Mastie Falooda
The sambar was excellent—flavorful and paired well with both dosa and idly. The biryani had good flavor too. The ghee podi idly was tasty, but it arrived a bit late, making it slightly dry and cold.
There was also some confusion in the serving order. We were told dosa would take 20 minutes, so we added ghee podi idly expecting it to come sooner. But the biryani was served first, and both tiffins came later at the same time.
Most staff seemed distracted—some chatting or on phone calls, which impacted attentiveness. That said, there was one staff member who stood out. He was actively interacting with customers and making sure orders were served correctly and on time. Really appreciate his effort—he was the saving grace on the service front.
Overall, Food is good, and there’s a lot of potential here. With some improvements in staff coordination and better hygiene practices around seating, the overall experience could be...
