Update 9/20/23: Today they were out of croissant. Instead gave a choice of white or whole wheat bread. I asked for toasted white. It came toasted, but looked more like flattened on the grill. The chicken salad portion seems to get smaller or thinner each time I eat here. You can see in photo the height of the grape by comparison. For a $10+ lunch, I would expect more filling than this. They should think of giving more salad in lieu of the cookie, if needed be.
Update 9/8/22:
Went for a late dinner, only 1 other person at tables. No employees are masked. Ordered croissant sandwich with pimento cheese side and asked for extra mayo packets.
We had sat down, then noticed table had not been cleaned and no napkins in holder; moved. Order came, no mayo and no crackers that went with pimento. Food was good, although croissant are still smaller than normal sandwich size. Chicken salad covered bread, could have been a bit more. Update 7/29/22: Like other places, it appears the sandwiches are downsized. Croissants were smaller and less chicken salad. Fancy Nancy tasted rather bland this time with very little fruit. The pimento cheese side was smaller as well. Disappointed. Super place for a ladies luncheon or lunch date with hubby. Tea room atmosphere with plastic tablecloths. Variety of salads and breads for sandwiches.
My concern is the trays the sandwiches are served on. We are living during a pandemic. Upon leaving, I saw the used ones were gathered and stacked behind the counter. An employee was wiping them and reusing. Is this an SOP or just a quick, easy way to reuse? They do put a paper between the sandwich and tray, but is...

During Covid (although this shouldn't be normal even during non Covid), this happened: The waitress delivers the wrong food to customer A and then walks away. Customer A (who is seated at their table, maskless) realizes that the food is incorrect. About 1-2 minutes later, customer A is able to flag down the waitress and say "this isn't what I ordered". The waitress takes the plate and walks it 10ft over to Customer B's table where it is given to the (correct) Customer B. If it was on the table in front of Customer A, especially for long enough for the waitress to leave the dining area and had to wait to be flagged down, it should’ve gone back to the kitchen.
The food tastes good, but they've forgotten a standard included item the last two times I've ordered The Chick. Also, it appears they are not cutting the grapes anymore in the chicken salad? So, it's basically a huge grape with some chicken salad around it. Hard to put...
Read moreI recently visited Chicken Salad Chick and found the experience to be underwhelming. The restaurant's interior felt outdated, the addition of plastic tablecloths and plasticware giving it a less-than-premium feel. Despite indicating that I was dining in, after being asked. I was served my meal in a plastic takeout container, which detracted from the dining experience. The restaurant felt more like a cafeteria with its crackers and cookies in wrappers. The menu focuses on a variety of chicken salads, each based on a basic chicken salad recipe with different ingredients added. While the concept is interesting, I was not sold on this dining experience. The chicken salad itself was just okay, served on a bed of salad, but overall, the dish lacked excitement and originality. I can buy a chicken salad in a plastic container...
