Apologies for the long review...it's been a long time coming & I have time today My mother & I have been getting our nails done here since I was 14 (I'm 22yo now). We absolutely LOVED it here and absolutely love Jenny! Jenny is quite literally the best & can't be matched doing acrylic nails. BUT NOW there is a new owner (Leslie) that is the most unorganized and disrespectful person we've ever met! When she first took over, we didn't think it would impact our love for this place, but every visit since has been absolutely AWFUL. Again NONE of the issues is any of the nail techs' fault. It is quite literally the worst management I've ever experienced! My last 3 visits were literally overshadowed by the fact I'd have to wait 30+ minutes after my appointment start time to be serviced. Then Leslie would attempt to "help" and "start" on my nails. I will never allow her to touch my hands again! That was the most painful & uncomfortable experience of my life, and poor Jenny had to go back over all of my nails again to fix her noticeable (and painful) mistakes. Now, my mom has had the absolute worst experiences and has exercised the most patience I've ever experienced simply because, again, we love Jenny's work. But today was definitely the final straw! Leslie called my mom twice to reschedule her appointment because she double-booked Jenny, and mind you, this is not the first, second, or third time this has happened. She's done this over & over again. My mom shows up for her appointment that Leslie asked her to be at for 12:00pm, and Leslie tries to tell her her appointment isn't until 1:00pm. Again, for this particular appointment, Leslie called to reschedule it TWICE from my mom's original time of 1:00 so my mom changed her schedule and AGREED TO 12:00. So at this point, my mom is genuinely upset cause this has happened over and over again so she steps outside to cool off and finish up her phone conversation. While she is standing right outside the door, Leslie has the nerve to say OUT LOUD IN ENGLISH "She is so stupid." The worst part is, I know this experience isn't exclusive to the two of us; and there is a noticeable difference in the way Leslie treats my mom & I. My mom is darker than I am while I am "racially ambiguous" to put it kindly. I've seen and heard the way she treats varying races of patrons that come to the salon and it's genuinely upsetting. I want to reiterate that this is no way a reflection of the amazing nail techs that have been working there longer than I've been going there. I feel sorry for the fact that they have to work under such poor management. The metro area is full of nail salons, so this is one that will never see me again as long as that owner is...
Read moreDisclaimer, this is sort of long - I usually do not write reviews, but I feel that it is time I share some of my opinions. My wife and I have been visiting here for quite some time, and have experienced the previous and current owner. Now I would have to agree with the negative reviews the current owner is receiving, however I think she deserves some slack. My wife and I have both had multiple conversations with her and she's a lovely woman. She told us that this is her first time managing something to this level and still has a lot to learn. This I totally agree with, and I myself know that I can't learn something new immediately. I saw someone post something along the lines of her being racist, but from my experience I have never experienced anything of the sort. She speaks highly of her guests and has openly expressed her guilt for not being able to manage perfectly. With all that being said, our service was still on par to what it was prior to Leslie taking ownership, and we will continue coming here. I hope new guests give this place a try, because they won't regret...
Read moreI went to this place for pedicure and face wax. Usually the ladies are pretty okay but this time around she cut my finger while cutting my nails. I have been to this place for nail services twice before and this was the only time i got injured. Noe my face. Either the wax was not clean or the lady did a horrible job. After the waxing i got nast pimples all over my face. It was a horrible horrible experience. My face was red and patchy for a week. It took me a while to recover and so decided to write this review. I have added a few pictures of the aftermath but one can tell my face went through alot. I have had my face waxed before, a little redness is expected but this was just plain horrible. Needless to say i am not returning to this place and would suggest others not to go there either.
