Since Jim Gillison left the quality of service has fallen!
I live in Johns Creek practically right across the street. Loved to go there for lunch or dinner anytime with friends and relatives.
On February 28th 2023 me and my wife were having Lunch there and received all the attitude and bad service one could stomach. Ordered the twin lobster meal with salads was ok. Got No refill on drinks.
The server for our area was so bad that the gentlemen in the next booth got up and walked to the bar to order his own drink and brought it back to his table. The next thing I know one of the waitresses from the other section is looking for the "GUY" the bartender gave the drink to. WOW.....
My wife and I ordered a "to go" as well a T BONE and Outlaw Ribeye. Got home opened the bag and they were BURNT hard to a crisp. Because we live so close. My wife took it back. She was HOT needless to say. Spoke with Deb, she said " Oh my god that is horrible and had them remake it. Total cost for Lunch and a Take home meal. - $155.39 with tip. and a trip back for remake?
As we sat outside waiting. We could see the cook and waitress playing with door locking each other out. Wondering what was going on?
To: Jim - I don't know why you left. I came there one Saturday for lunch once. And you raved about how the business sold 1500+ steaks the night before Friday Dinner time. Me and my wife looked forward to Dining here not because of the food which is great when the right people with right attitude are there, but also for the service. Which has slid badly.
I hope that recovers soon! Because other restaurants have not faired so well with this type of slide. Just...
Read moreUnfortunate experience really. My wife really likes Longhorn and was looking for a good dinner. It wasn’t in the cards. I’ll keep out names and if management cares enough, they can reach out to me. The server acted as if he could barely muster the care to be there. Orders were taken soon enough and the traditional bread came quickly as did our salads. Server still didn’t seem too ok being there but hey, everyone gets a bad day, with the reviews that go along with it. My wife ordered the 6 oz Flo’s Filet, medium rare. It came somewhere past medium but not well-done. For $25, she opted for a redo. The server was lackluster in his ambivalence but went away to have it remade. He didn’t take the old one away so we just sat it at the end of the table. He returned almost 15 minutes later, saw the steak, and asked “what this one bad too”? I pointed out he hadn’t delivered the replacement, which seemed to catch him unaware. It took another 10 minutes for the replacement; 25 minutes for a 6-ounce steak? Nowhere normal. Anyhow, as the cards intended, it too was overcooked. But she ate it anyway, less than happy to say the least. Between that, a strikingly uncaring apology, not bringing a spoon for my grandson as he promised, and a couple of other things far less important, I tipped low and we left. Its unfortunate the impact one terrible server, combined with a steakhouse cooking staff who shouldn’t make a mistake cooking a steak but absolutely shouldn’t do it twice. Probably going to be a while before we return to...
Read moreMy wife and I thought we'd try the $29.95 two entrée special this past Saturday night. It was one of the worst dining experiences of our lives. We are not unfamiliar with Longhorn having dined at numerous restaurants in multiple states. We have always been pleased by their food in the past. The Wild West Shrimp were so salty we asked the waitress to take them away. She did and we declined her offer to bring us another serving. When she insisted we asked her to put them in a doggy bag and we brought them home for our son. My wife upgraded to Flo's Filet with portobella mushrooms and I ordered the salmon. Again the food was so salty we could not eat it and the sautéed onions with mushrooms were unpalatable. I took one bite of them and felt like gagging. Simply terrible. We each ordered the Ceasar Salad which were fine. This location has consistently gotten high marks and the place was packed so we are mystified by how awful our food was. The service was good. The steak arrived prepared as requested...... but everything was unbelievably salty and un-eatable. By the time the desert arrived we just wanted to get our check and leave. I felt bloated for the rest of the night. While I am sure our experience is probably the exception for this popular spot, I do not see us...
