I waited two weeks to write this in hopes SOMEONE from PJās would reach out to me to apologizeā¦explainā¦justify what happenedāand radio silence.
Hereās the situation: I called Papa Johnās (reluctantly) to place a large pre-order for work about a month ago. I say reluctantly because Iād last ordered from them three years agoāa huge order for 200 people. Iād placed and PAID for the order a month ahead of time and confirmed twice the week of delivery only to have them show up TWO HOURS late because āOh man I overslept and opened late and are you sure you still want these 75 pizzas?ā (Literally was asked this in a phone call 20 minutes before the delivery was to arrive).
Never got an apology or recognition of how badly they messed up that time either.
So I was markedly reluctant to order again but was assured by a coworker Iād be given a great deal and there was new management and that situation would never ever happen again.
So I ordered 30 pizzas and breadsticks for 120 people. A weekās notice. And called twice the day before to ascertain all was in order and I was assured it was.
Pizzas were to be delivered at 5pm for a 5:30pm event. At 510on, I nervously called to ask where the pizzas were and I was told āoh we had other orders but we are putting in your breadsticks now.ā
I called back at 525 was informed the door dasher should be picking it up āany minuteā. At 530, I was told it should arrive āsoonā while I had over 100 children wondering where dinner was. I asked if I could contact the dasher and was informed they didnāt give him my contact number and they had no way to put us in touch with each other.
The pizza finally made it.540pm. No apology. No recognition of what I just went through again. And, although Iād asked for a receipt THREE times, no receipt.
So I called for a fifth time and was assured a receipt would be texted to me ASAP. Againāno apology. I finally went into their restaurant two days later and asked for a receipt in person.
My favorite part? Papa Johnās called my office last week, got the aforementioned male coworker on the phone who had used them in the past who works in a different program areaāAND THEY APOLOGIZED TO HIM. He gave them my number and my email and said they needed to apologize to me, not him.
Crickets. I even gave them an extra week to see if ANYONE would follow up.
Do. Not. Use. This. Place. I still canāt believe I gave them a...

First of all, I have to say that Camille was the kindest person I've ever encountered at a Papa John's. Or maybe any pizza place, ever.
We have some really picky eaters (many with underlying health problems) in our household so it's usually an ordeal when ordering pizza, something that is only made worse with the rude and condescending employees that you usually experience at places like this.
Not Camille.
Camille was patient and went above and beyond to answer each and every question we had and then made suggestions based off of what we told her. This made us feel truly heard and cared for; something becoming exceedingly rare in today's world.
When the food was ready it turned out amazing, exactly what we wanted and exactly how we wanted it.
I think we just found the best Papa...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTruly the worst experience I have ever had with pizza delivery. Went in person to order in advance, the computer is broken, they canāt print the receipt, canāt figure out how to order it, takes 30 minutes. Finally, we think we get everything straightened out. Day of, I call to confirm, they have the address for delivery incorrect but we remedy that. I get a call 10 min before scheduled delivery telling me they donāt have any drivers. Want me to pay for it again via DoorDash. Ultimately I have to send someone to go pick it up. No one seemed to have their heads on straight there, the level of incompetence demonstrated was truly remarkable. Will never order or go...
