Upon entering the hotel, we were overwhelmed by the strong smell of marijuana throughout the property. It was especially unbearable in the hallways and near the elevators. When we complained to the front desk, the employee acknowledged the issue but made no effort to address it. Adding to the security concerns, we noticed used condoms in the parking lot—a clear indication that this hotel does not maintain or monitor its premises properly.
Room Conditions - Filthy & Poorly Maintained
When we entered our room, we were shocked by the unacceptable conditions: • The bedding was old, tattered, and literally falling apart. No shower curtain was installed, making it impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom. Only two pillows were provided, and when we requested additional pillows, both housekeeping and the front desk told us, "We don't have any. Since we couldn't sleep comfortably, we had no choice but to go to HomeGoods and purchase two pillows, pillow covers, and pillowcases-an outrageous inconvenience for any paying guest. Unbearable Environment & Lack of Response from Management
After returning to our room, the marijuana smoke and odor had become even stronger, making it impossible to breathe comfortably. At 1:30 AM, I contacted Hyatt Corporate, and they opened an investigation. However, the property owner failed to respond to Hyatt's inquiries, further proving their complete disregard for guest concerns.
Health Hazards & Unsanitary Conditions
The next morning, we went to breakfast, only to be met with raw sausage sitting on the buffet—a serious health hazard that should never be allowed at any hotel, let alone one operating under the Hyatt brand.
Overall Experience - Absolutely Horrendous The franchise property is owned by, The Patel Family and they seem to have zero regard for guest safety, cleanliness, or professional hospitality.
We could not complete our stay due to the growing list of unacceptable issues, including: • Illegal drugs on the property Unbearable smoke and odors Dirty, unmaintained rooms Lack of basic amenities like pillows and shower curtains Used condoms in the parking lot Unsafe and unsanitary food To make matters worse, the hotel has completely ignored our complaints. Neither the property nor its owners have issued any response-not to us, not to Hyatt Corporate. This is the worst hotel experience we have ever had. Do not stay here. It is unsate, poorly managed, and fails in every possible way. Hyatt should seriously reconsider allowing this property to operate...
Read moreInfested with German cockroaches!!! EWWWW! I never write reviews, but I always read them before booking, and wish someone had posted a recent review to let me know - obviously, they have a big problem that has been that way for a while. You can smell the pheromones they emit, and the staff confirmed that they spray for them weekly. ||I stayed on the 3rd floor and ended up checking out early. Had no idea they were cockroaches when I 1st saw one (I had bought a slice of cake at the grocery store and one crawled into the container - ewwww!) Reported it to the front desk, who said bugs were to be expected in that area because it was humid and had been pouring rain. If I'd known what they were, I would have left immediately. They did know, though, and didn't even offer to move my room. On different days, I saw a couple in the tub, one on the bathroom vanity (and the pest control websites say they LOVE toothpaste and seek out your tooth brushes - EWWWW!), one zoomed across the desk etc. I was finally able to catch one, throw it in the toilet, and Google Lens identified it as a German cockroach. Only an inch or so long, they are very prolific breeders, known for hitchhiking home with you in your luggage. I lay awake all night with all the lights on and checked out first thing the next morning. The manager was not available, and the desk clerk (who was very nice) was not empowered to provide a discount or remove any of the charges. She confirmed that they had a roach issue (possibly due to construction or something else), and they were spraying every other week. I asked for the manager to call me. He did not. 2 days later, I called him. He apologized (he was also very nice) and said they were aware of the issue, explaining that they were under construction and spraying every week. I ended up having my clothing sprayed for bugs and shipped home, and I threw away my luggage. My boxes of clothes are in my garage, quarantined, and I still have the very itchy "roach rash" from coming into contact with whatever it is they leave behind. The Hyatt corporate office felt that refunding the room charge for the last night I stayed awake watching for bugs was "fair compensation". Beware that if you do stay and don't take precautions, you may unknowingly bring home more than...
Read moreWe go here about once or twice a year since it’s close to our house, typically either as a quick getaway or after we’ve had the exterminator to the house.
I have previously rated this hotel with four stars, but our recent stay was frankly bad. My wife was checking in while our house was getting a new roof to avoid any kind of allergic response from the construction work. We are Hyatt rewards members, so we had requested a high floor facing the back on the reservation.
When we got to the hotel, they had no knowledge of the requests that were on the reservation. Customer service was very average; the man helping us did his job, but was rather terse and not very friendly. We ended up being on the third floor, despite the high floor reservation.
More importantly, a few minutes after we entered the room, my wife started having a fairly severe allergic reaction. She went to the window unit HVAC and pulled out two very clogged and filthy air filters. She immediately took these down to the lobby to get them addressed. The hotel personnel kind of shied away from her when she was polite but insisting on this being addressed, though they did call a very polite maintenance man who was very helpful in getting new filters installed.
Unfortunately, by this point, it was probably too late for the room. Her allergic reaction continued even after the filters were changed since the room still had the residue from the very filthy air filters. We reluctantly decided at that point to check out and the manager grudgingly refunded our money since we hadn’t disturbed anything in the room. My wife’s allergies immediately got better when she walked out to the car, which leads me to believe that our room’s air filter wasn’t the only one that needed cleaning.
The hotel overall looks nice and is setup very well. We’ve enjoyed our previous stays here a lot. However, after this experience, I’m not sure we’ll...
