I used to regularly pick up a bag of decaf. I tolerated the upsell attempts (the first time it was an overpriced pour-over set, the second was a grinder) each time thinking that the staff were passionate. The decaf wasn't even amazing.... so I lauded myself for buying locally.
The last two times I've come in the staff were different but level of service was poor.
Both times I asked about the Downtown Connector (decaf) as I didn't see it on the shelves. Both times the staff shrugged their shoulders and said "if it's not on the shelf, we don't have it.
The thing is that the first time there were 30 bags sitting on the bar 8 feet away. I think that they were about to be sealed but I shouldn't need to be more aware of what's going on in the shop than the staff in order to pick up a bag of decaf.
The second time (today) I didn't bother confirming. There are plenty of other local roasters who will do more than shrug their shoulders and say "we must not have any" while trying to sell you something you don't need.
FFS... there are HUNDREDS of better ways to handle that question. Tell a customer the regular day it gets roasted/bagged, offer an alternative, or advise a customer to call and have a bag put aside before they waste the trip.
Good help must be...
Read moreI've been a regular at Peach Coffee Roasters for a while and have always loved their coffee beans. One of the beautiful things about supporting a local shop like this is the sense of community it fosters. It truly feels like being part of a coffee-loving family. That's why I was taken aback when I noticed that they've made a move towards shrinkflation a cost-cutting tactic that feels more at home in big-box stores, not in our beloved local coffee shop.
Sadly, they've recently downsized the coffee bags from 12 oz to 10 oz, all while keeping the price unchanged. This shift has left myslef feeling somewhat let down. The lack of proper communication about this change, especially to their core customer base, makes the situation even more disheartening.
I've come to love Peach Coffee Roasters not only for their exceptional coffee but also for the sense of trust that has developed over time. It's my hope that they reconsider this decision and communicate more openly with us, their regular customers.
After all, it's the personal touch and the shared love for quality coffee that have kept us coming back for more. Let's hope that this...
Read moreThis place is unassuming on the outside but itâs a hidden gem. They have house made syrups and the cappuccino I had was one of the best ever. And Iâve had a lot of coffee. They donât have sugar free because they only use natural syrups. However you can just ask for stevia to sweeten your drink if you want to avoid sugar.
Itâs very inviting inside with beautiful decor. There are plenty of seats available. They also have coffee bags a for sale. It has a very modern and upscale look.
The service is also fantastic. The two barista ladies were very friendly and put in big smiles, which is hard to come by believe it or not. The cups they use are some of the best as well. Yes I know thatâs a silly and insignificant detail but I love those kinds of cups.
Overall, this is an excellent coffee shop. Iâd come back if Iâm in...
