I don't post a lot of reviews on Google, so a place has to be really exceptional for me to do so. State & Jones Coffee is just that - exceptional. I recently had the pleasure of trying their delicious food and coffee during a recent meeting with some PTO colleagues.
This delightful gem of place is located in the Aldi shopping center, and the owner has put an incredible amount of thought into creating a warm, welcoming environment. From the music, to the amount of seating, to the ample charges located right at the table - this is a place where you are encouraged to linger.
I tried the drip coffee of the day, which was a dark roast that was nice and rich. For food, I ordered the avocado toast with an over medium egg on top. It was phenomenal! The grilled sourdough bread was generously topped with smashed avocado, cherry tomatoes, and pickled red onions and was accompanied by fresh baby greens. The egg was cooked perfectly (no easy feet when opting for over medium).

Read moreAbsolutely loved my experience here! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The decor is charming and thoughtfully designed, creating a perfect blend of modern and rustic vibes.
The coffee itself is exceptional – every cup is clearly crafted with care, and you can taste the quality in every sip. Not only was the coffee great, but the food was too! Pictured here, you can see half their breakfast sandwich because I just couldn’t wait to eat lol and a matcha latte that was out of this world.
The staff here goes above and beyond; they’re genuinely friendly, attentive, and passionate about what they do. They take the time to chat, offer recommendations, and make you feel like a valued guest. It’s rare to find a place that excels in quality, service, and ambiance all at once, but this coffee shop nails it on every level. Can’t wait to go back...

We ended up ordering an iced latte, overnight oats, and a mango refresher. After waiting 30 minutes, we went to the counter to ask about our order, only to find out the receipt had been thrown away and the order never made. Frustrating, to say the least.
To their credit, they did give my wife a free drink for her next visit, which is appreciated. Still, first impressions matter, and this one missed the mark.
I may come back and update this review if future visits go better, but as of now, this was a rough...
