Romeo's New York Pizza — Restaurant in Johns Creek

Wow, what a shame to have to delete my previous 5 star review and replace with this 1 star review. Hate doing this to a small local business but it is what it is - gave a good review when it was good, so must give a bad review when it's bad.

Having had a decent slice of pizza here in the past, we decided to add this to our list of NY Pizza joints tour and taste test in the Atlanta metro area.

Arrived at 2:05pm on a Tuesday. I was the only person there, although two people did come in after me (20 minutes apart) and order slices. I ordered a medium cheese pizza, and was told about a 10 minute wait.

30 minutes later at 2:35 I went back up and asked about my pizza! I was told it's still in the oven... no apology, no explanation... I'd probably still be sitting there waiting if I didn't go ask!

Approximately 6-7 minutes later (almost 40 minutes after ordering a simple cheese pizza!!) I was handed a pizza that the cheese was barely melted and the bottom was soggy... clearly rushed cooking. Extremely disappointing pizza, about the same level as gas station pizza but with a 40 minute wait on a Tuesday at 2pm when I'm the only customer.

Their Pizza is great but my review is about the service. The Asian lady upfront is very rude and disrespectful. I order through DoorDash 2 pizzas, wings and cannolis for pick up , when I came to pick my order I give her my name but she insists that she want to see my name and the order on my door dash app then she handed me the two pizzas and a plastic bag which I thought my wings and cannolis will be there , I wanted to grab some ketchup when she said rudely “WHAT ARE YOU DOING? “the small ketchup bags was out there and I was like I just need some ketchup, she said with a very disrespectful voice “THAT IS UNHYGIENIC YOUR HANDS CAN BE DIRTY YOU DO NOT GRAB THEM , IM THE ONE IN THIS SIDE NOT YOU !!!” even though the small catchup bags are in the front table for people to take!! . I’m a physician and I know exactly what hygienic and what Is not hygienic. I grabbed my food and drove 5 miles to my house to find out that she didn’t put my cannolis in my bag , so she was very worried about me touching the ketchup bags than making sure my $ 76 order is correct . I called and a guy said sorry she forgot to put them in the bag, he was very nice he even threw in an extra cannoli because of what happened , when I drove back 5 miles to pick them up she was there and she didn’t even feel the need to say sorry for what she did !!! Very rude . Not...

I’ve been coming here for years and have always loved the pizza. I visited this evening (Friday) at around 5:30pm and ordered two slices of pizza and a caesar salad. I completely understand that things get busy and orders get delayed, but I waited an HOUR for 2 slices. Every single person who ordered AFTER me got their food first as well. About 30 mins into my wait I asked how much longer it’d take and was told my slices were in the oven. The women at the register looked annoyed and didn’t even seem to care how long I had been waiting. I decided to be patient, waited longer and finally got fed up and asked again. Lo and behold, my food was just sitting behind the counter on top of the oven. Who knows for how long? It’s a small shop and I was sitting right next to the register, I would have heard if they called my name and they never did. I should have just asked for a refund. I would have let this go if her apology was genuine, but the women behind the register looked like she was over it, which truly left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not be returning due to the terrible...
